Anyone who claims the ‘insurrectionists’ inside the Capitol were armed is either being deliberately misleading [‘armed’ almost always indicates guns] or they are ignorant of the facts.

The fact they *weren’t* armed raises something that should be obvious—they weren’t planning anything like a coup. It’s laughably ludicrous to plan an ‘unarmed’ coup attempt. Unless you’re suicidal.

Trumpism is becoming synonymous with a detachment from reality.

That's really what it is. Spinning even the most obvious events and situations - like 1/6, where we have ample video showing what really happened.

I'm really still sort of stunned by it. It's like standing with someone, pointing to the sky and saying "it's blue," and having that person saying "clearly, it's not. That's a green sky." Evidence & what is clearly observable don't matter at all anymore.

That was BS and it didn't hold up.

So now we are shifting to blaming it on the FBI.

Anything but Trump.

It's simple.

Begin with the mantra that Trump takes no responsibility.

Then build a story around that and cling to it.

At least until it is clear it's just not working.

Then shift to something else as long as it satisfies the mantra.

apparently the FBI did ( im not addressing the agents on the ground - i need to find out more about that)

But the Capitol police were warned according to FBI, as well as NAtinal guard nit being called out.

IOWs this was preventable.. we dont need the government putting military on stand down either

FWIW, the DCPD is P-I-S-S-E-D at the Republicans for throwing them under the bus like Trump did to his militia friends. This ain't over by a longshot. LOL
