REALLY? ANOTHER racist incident involving an RNC attendee.

But Epcot isn't just some corner Mexican restaurant, now is it?

Part of what makes this country exceptional is that we take in immigrants from ALL OVER THE WORLD, and once the become citizens, they help represent to the world the melting pot that is our great nation.

Only in the narrow minds of racist assholes are white folk the ONLY REPRESENTATIVE of this nation.

One more time...

BECAUSE we the people of the USA love to tout the fact that we are a MULTI-CULTURAL MELTING POT, represented by MANY RACES.

But by all means continue to flail about trying to justify the hateful attitude displayed by these racists.

How about because thousands of people with black hair and tan skin and a Mexican heritage were born and raised in the U.S.?

Using your bogus logic, no African-American could be in the USA display, either.

I know. I'm wondering what a real American looks like. Blond hair/blue eyes? Red hair/pale skin? Maybe he'll explain (ha ha).

Maybe it should have been an old fat white man with a cigar and top hat?

My argument is not that it shouldn't have been an ethnic person, I didn't make any argument. I also didn't complain. All I did, was state that I didn't see "racism" in these people's complaint. Now immediately, whatever their views were, are thereby transferred to me, because I stood up for them on this one little thing. But that is how it goes with two-faced judgmental liberals. If I see David Duke standing on the corner, and a liberal comes by and chunks a brick at his head, and the police show up... am I not allowed to tell them "he was just standing there minding his own business, and someone threw a brick at him." OR does this automatically mean I am a racist? Should I lie and say "he was spouting off hate speech and antagonizing these people and someone finally had enough of it after he grabbed someones's arm.." Should I make up some story so that I don't have to "defend" the racist? I'm just trying to figure out how I'm supposed to play your game here, because I am really confused.

You see, where I come from, we tell the truth and stand up for people who are innocent. It doesn't matter if they think differently than us, it doesn't matter if their viewpoints are things we are totally against, they still have rights. See, I can't just stop believing all I have ever learned in life, and start accusing and condemning people just because I don't agree with their politics. What these people had to say, was their opinion, and it wasn't a RACIST opinion. You've not shown anything about this to be racist, other than your own implications and inferences. Well no one died and gave you the right to judge what is and isn't racist. There is a very clear dictionary definition of racism. It is the belief that one race is inferior or superior to another. I don't see these people's complaint as fitting into that category, I just don't... and I don't see where any of you have made that case. Now you can proclaim I am a racist too, since I defended them... but what the fuck does that make you?

I didn't say you were a racist. I just asked you to tell what a "real American" looks like.

So you believe that no "Mexican" has ever been, or will be, born in this country and therefore an AMERICAN.

So you believe a "Mexican" born in this country isn't representative of someone from the USA.

How bout that?

Another long winded, diversionary "response" from Dixie when all I wanted was the simple question I asked two days ago answered.

Apparently he can't/won't do that.

Why is that Dix?

Is this more like the Americans the Dix thinks should work at Epcot?

I didn't say you were a racist. I just asked you to tell what a "real American" looks like.

And I answered you. Now can you explain what is "racist" about someone questioning why a Mexican was used? You see what is happening here is, I am addressing your questions but you are ignoring basically everything I say, and not answering mine. We can't have a dialogue that way, it doesn't work. You have to be willing to put down your partisan Hate Hat for a minute, and objectively read what is written and think. I don't know if you have that in you, I like to think you do, but I am an eternal optimist when it comes to my fellow man..err..woman.

So now, give me some answers to the questions I asked you, or if you don't have any answers, try saying, "Hey, you know what, you made some valid points I hadn't considered." I promise you, the world will not open up and swallow you into the abyss, and fire will not rain from the skies. You'll still be free to bash and rail on me in other threads and other topics, and you may even feel better about yourself for doing the decent thing and being civilized. Or maybe that is asking too much, eh?

Now can you explain what is "racist" about someone questioning why a Mexican was used?

It's easy, Dix.

If you think a person with darker skin and hair than yours has no business in "America", even the Epcot version, you're racist.

Hey retard, try to pay attention. No one has questioned why Mexicans work at Epcot.

Another sidestep from the Dix.

Read, and learn.

Prior to National Republican Convention we visited Disney for three days. During our time at Epcot we visited the different countries. It was neat seeing each country and the employees were from that individual country. Then we visited America . . . one would think you would find American employees. We were offended to find a person from Mexico working in America. Mark spoke up and told them he was highly offended after visiting the other countries and seeing employees from that country and then come to America and find a Mexican. He was very civil but his point was well made.

Leave dicksee's family out of this.

the OP doesn't say he was a Mexican-American.....many parks employ foreign nationals, I assume the guy was, as the article states, "from Mexico".....

How did the racist know he was mexican? Did she demand to see his papers?

Fyi: Disney does not hire illegals. Even if the guy was a Mexican, he had every right to be there.

Ever hear of Central America? :)

Well, as they travel around to the different nations they ask the people, "Are you really from Norway?"...

As they get to the United States they ask, "Where are you from?" the guy answers honestly...

It isn't that hard to come up with plausible reasons they may actually have that information.

The people weren't upset that he was there at all, they were upset that they didn't hire US Citizens to represent the US as they hired citizens to represent each other nation.

Who's "they"?

The people who made the blog, are you really that mentally crippled? They called it "neat" to see employees that were from the country they represented. How do you think they figured that part out?

Here's what they said on their blog:

You've reposted what was on their blog 3 times now, and it really doesn't matter if you post it 100 more, it doesn't change the fact there is nothing "RACIST" about it. It's no more "RACIST" than going to a Chinese restaurant and questioning why your waiter was something other than oriental. It doesn't mean prejudice against whatever they were, just that they weren't what you expected to see in that situation. Now you can say it's petty, anal and unimportant, and insignificant or pointless, but it's not RACIST. That's all I've said about it... I didn't agree with the bloggers, or defend their viewpoint at all, I just said that they weren't being "racist" by pointing out this detail.

Wild, baseless speculation from the Right...all so they can continue to ignore the racist attitudes displayed by others other conservatives.

Of course if I or anyone from the left were to concoct such a fanciful story about asking each employee of Epcot where they were from and engaging in such baseless speculation, we'd be blasted by every single two-faced Rightie here...but since it's one of their own...Damo gets the free pass.
