America is a melting pot of humanity
Why do you hate America ?
The Founding Father's Immigration Act the Naturalization Act of 1790 doesn't say that?
It says only Free Whites of good character were to become US citizens.

Isn't that strange? I'd heard of ppl with brain injuries having various synesthesias but that was a first. Turns out that although rare, it happens spontaneously. Interesting article:
https://www.apa.org/monitor/mar01/synesthesia
From the article: "Some synesthetes hear, smell, taste or feel pain in color." I had that happen following a ruptured brain aneurysm. I could "see" the damaged areas in my head as blobs of color -- orange, green, yellow, purple. Eventually (thankfully!!!) that faded away and now a headache is just a headache.
OH but wait -- there's more! My middle daughter was and is simply brilliant at just about everything... language, math, foreign languages, music, art. But not athletics. Used to tease her that she had to avoid the Hallmark store at the mall or she'd owe them a paycheck for all the stuff she knocked over. She knew upper and lower case letters, and numbers up to 20, by the time she was 18 months old. She could read at age three. But at the end of fourth grade, she informed us that she was not going to get As any more because she wanted kids to like her and nobody did because they said she was "too smart." Peer pressure can be such a terrible thing. My dad had a talk with her and told her how he was born with a crippled leg. All he wanted was to play sports like his brother and the other boys. But since he couldn't he recognized that he did have one gift that they didn't have -- his mind -- so he developed that instead. It worked! She got straight As all the way through h.s. and now owns two college degrees as well.
Kids just need someone to believe in them so that they can believe in themselves, eh?
A story for every occasion!
it is possible men and women's brains are wired just differently enough to cause a small disparity when it comes to being interested in and excelling in advanced math. but not enough for this huge gap. that comes down to eons of socialization and expectations and the human tendency to follow the path of least resistance. we know that IQ wise, and skill wise, there are plenty of women as brilliant and productive in these difficult fields as men, and that pretty much proves it is more of a socialization phenomenon than a DNA related phenomenon, much like the varying IQ results of different races...not enough to even worry about.
how about the reverse? are women just better at English than dudes? are they born with better cooking skills? are they superior to us at synchronized swimming? that is what matters!!

Google Doodle celebrates mathematician Olga Ladyzhenskaya
Thursday's Google Doodle looks at Olga Ladyzhenskaya, a mathematician who endured a tragic loss to become one of the great thinkers of her time.
Ladyzhenskaya was born March 7, 1922, in Kologriv, a small town in western Russia, and spent her early years being inspired with a love of mathematics by her father, Aleksandr, who taught the subject.
She lost him as a teenager in 1937, when he was arrested by Soviet authorities, declared an enemy of the state and killed. Her family name stopped her from getting into Leningrad State University (now Saint Petersburg State University) two years later, but she ultimately got into Moscow University in 1943. After earning her Ph.D., Ladyzhenskaya went on to lead the Laboratory of Mathematical Physics at the Steklov Mathematical Institute in Moscow and to write more than 250 papers.
She's best known for her work on fluid dynamics of the Navier–Stokes equations -- which describe the motion of viscous substances -- and partial differential equations.
Ladyzhenskaya's contributions to the field earned her the Lomonosov Gold Medal from the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2002. She died on Jan. 12, 2004, at the age of 81.

I'm 100% all American. I just prefer detente with Russia instead of mindless Cold War escalationCypress is the closest to a Russian here & maybe Annata.?
As for Russo that's Italian.
My friends the Italian paternal Russo brothers have a great deli around here called Froggys Deli.
Great sandwiches.
Owl’s life is rich and she’s a gifted writer with a mind for details, some people are jealous of others storytelling abilities. Thank goodness for those people, they were and are the historians. You Russo bot holes can’t understand the real human experience
