Show me where it states in school regulations, MI state law or federal law, that this club is illegal.
1. It was open to everyone.
2. Only African-Americans joined.
NOBODY complained or criticized this group until the field trip. Of course you and the hypocritical Ann Arbor parents aren't honest enough to admit that if the field trip was to visit Joe Sixpack, successful African-American owner of three local grocery stores, none of this would have been an issue. You along with the hypocritical parents are just galled because the members were able to meet somebody off-the-charts successful, a rocket scientist.
Well, congratulations. Because of hypocrites like you, the club has been disbanded and the Lunch Bunch is no longer getting the academic assistance that was its real purpose. Let the kids pay for the adults' whining.
And I don't want to hear a word out of you when somebody brings up the student performance statistics that trend downward because additional academic help has now been withdrawn.

Riddle me this batman: Why are republicans always whining like little school boys about a black pageant or a black school club, while indeed there are also beauty pageants for Asian-americans and Italian-americans? Ooops, I think your white robe might be showing.
Here's a tip, my cyber-sleuthing Sherlock Holmes: you republicans can google all you want to find the latest outrage regarding the horrific oppression of whites, and of the allegedly profound implications of black racism against whites.
But the fact of the matter is americans proudly and overwhelmingly self-identify with their own cultural and ethnic roots. Black americans broadly speaking have distinct and identifiable cultural roots. They were segregated by this nation into a generally monolithic group based on skin color. And their african, and black-american roots form the basis for a distinct, and identifiable broader cultural and ethnic identity.
There is no such thing as a "white american" experience. Whites weren't segregated and caricatured into a monolithic subculture. on the basis of skin color. Whites overwhelmingly identify with their irish, italian, or greek roots.
Sorry if you don't like it, that's just the fact.
I eagerly await your screed about the horrors of the Asian-America beauty contest. But, I also suspect your faux outrage is primarily a function of the white robes you wear under your clothes.
Finally, given all the internet outrage about white oppression you republicans have routinely engaged in from the safety of your keyboards on this thread and many others, I have one final question:
Why aren't you out in public proclaiming the need for white clubs, the evils of african-american clubs, and why aren't you encouraging your republican leaders to make in part of the GOP party platform to rid america of the horrific scourge of black racism against whites? Discrimination seems to be OK unless it involves men, especially white men....
All hell breaks loose when we hear about an "all mens club that refuses to allow women in the door or to join...and its absolutely illegal to be WHITE ONLY...
Otherwise, Polish Clubs, Italian Clubs, etc. abound throughout the country...and I really don't know how they allow or disallow members...but I guarantee its not on race or even ethnics.
Oops. Blacks, or anyone of african decent are NOT allowed to compete in the Miss Italia USA pageant.
And you know what? I've never, not one single time, heard a black person or a liberal complain that Miss Italia, or any other private ethnic or cultural club is "racist".
I only hear pathetic white boys, who's lives have been miserable failures, complain about the alleged horrific atrocities of black racism against whites. Why is that?
Let me make this extremely simple for you:
1) Discriminatory clubs or organizations are illegal in the context of any school, business, or transaction that accepts public tax dollars, or engages in interstate commerce.
2) Strictly Private clubs that are not part of a business or don't engage in interstate commerce economic transaction, and that celebrate an ethnic or cultural identity (e.g., italian, asian, african, etc) are completely legal.
So stop fucking whining like a girl that you are prevented from competing in the Miss Italia contest or the Miss Black USA pageant. You cross-dressing republican males don't have the legs, or the skin color for it.
Black americans, broadly, have a distinct and identifiable cultural background. They were segregated into a monolithic group on the basis of skin color and african background.
There is no equivalent "white experience" in america. Whites self-identify with their ethnic roots - italian, irish, etc. It doesn't make a bit of freaking sense to have "white clubs".
No one except skinheads and fringe republicans have ever identified a need for "white clubs". The only time "white groups" have formed, generally speaking, is when their explicit intent was racial superiority. KKK, White Citizens Council, Aryan Nation.
That said, as I told Asshat, you are perfectly within your legal rights to announce publicly at work that you want to form a private club for whites only. What's stopping you from doing that? You won't be arrested. Stop complaining about white oppression from the safety of your keyboard, and get out their in public and form your own white club. You won't be breaking any laws.
