Overnight ratings for National NFL games on CBS for Week 3:

2014 -- 16.9 (Super Bowl rematch)
2015 -- 14.1
2016 -- 13.9
2017 -- 13.8

It's happening to all major sports in the US .. including "I will never knell" NASCAR which is seriously in the toilet and wish they were in the NFL's shoes.

Ratings have been sliding long before Kaepernick.

you know the saying "figures don't lie but liars figure". I have no idea on the statistics.
I am going off a very few anecdotals I've seen in the news.
And I'm certainly not saying just like BLM says that this is somehow systemic.
Nor do I feel disparaging the entire flag/country is appropriate protest. i'ts very poor targeting.

In fact the opposite -this isn't Jim Crow American by along shot. But if it happens it has to be looked at.
all the NOISE of the protestors,and Trump, and the NFL doesn't do anything but polarize us into camps..

Like the Confederate statues there needs to be some type of commission to make recommendations and quit using the national anthem for your marginal ( percentage wise) grievances

The stats cited in the article suggest that black men aren't being systematically targeted for violence by cops.

It runs counter to the BLM narrative so it runs counter to the media narrative.

Like I said OK -and I never thought that. The BLM asshats prefer that -so good for them..the media are LW whores - forget that too.

However there have been miscarriages of justice, and i've seen a video or 2 where a cop literally kills a black guy.
I'm sure it happens to white guys too - so reform the justice system..

The rest of that crap is ignorant NOISE..I tune it out..way too many peeps won't

Well, they still 'allow' flyovers. They still allow banners/advertisements in the stadiums. They still allow the military color guard.

There is no rule that forces players to acknowledge the flag.

The millenials just aren't big sports fans, these sports have an aging fan base. Vegas is building a new e sports arena to attract millenials.
