Rand Paul grandstanding

lmao. your BFF zappa is the one who started insulting and not talking about the topic, but you blame me. and as i said, you ignore all the points i make against your debates and only focus on ad homs.

you're afraid to debate me.

yep, as i thought

run away little troll

Let’s focus today on the fact that Congress appears to have reached a deal to keep the government operating for seven more weeks.

Think of all the things you’ll be able to do in October if there’s a government.

Camp out in a national park!

Mail a letter!

Fly to Omaha without fear that your plane will crash into a plane flying to Sioux Falls because of a lack of air traffic controllers!

Wage war in Afghanistan!

Life doesn’t get any better than that.

The latest stalemate in Washington has been over the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which had been running out of cash what with all the recent fires, floods, earthquakes, plagues of frogs and what have you.

Republicans wanted to balance any new FEMA money with cuts elsewhere.

Democrats said that when disaster strikes, the tradition is to pony up and deal with the financing issues later.

Republicans said yeah, and that’s how we wound up $14.7 trillion in the hole.

And then the Democrats said no way, we got the hole from the Bush tax cuts, and then the Republicans kicked them in the groin and everybody had to go to the emergency room.

what does this have to do with the thread topic?

why are you derailing this thread? like bfgrn, when you get pwned, change topics.

The House just passed a temporary funding measure that one asshole like gRandstand Paul could've derailed, and the government would have shut down.

Guess what?

The House used the same procedure gRandstand Pauls' supporters claimed is undemocratic

It's called unamimous consent, and not one of the JPP Pauliticians demanded more debate.

Not one.

I suspect none of the knee-jerk Pauliticians had ever even heard of unanimous consent until gRandstand Paul pulled his obstructionist bullshit in the Senate.

With most House members away from Washington on a one-week recess, Thursday's approval took place at a "pro forma" session involving just three House members using a procedure known as "unanimous consent."

Republican Reps. Andy Harris of Maryland and John Culberson of Texas conducted the House business, including the request for the chamber's unanimous consent of the spending plan, while Democratic Rep. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland kept an eye on the proceedings...

i don't run around the board criticizing others like you do.

OH MY GAWD! I can go to a half a dozen threads right now and quote you DIRECTLY doing exactly what you whine about me doing in this thread! You run around these boards EVERY SINGLE DAY and criticize others EXACTLY like you claim I do...

i'm not surprised this flies above your head, either that, or you're a dishonest hack. and really, comparing this: partisan douchebag again - to what i said is disingenuous at best.

What's the problem? You are a disingenuous partisan douchebag who thinks "what the fuck is your problem" is an acceptable way of asking someone a question.

and i'm not surprised you couldn't back up your claim i was partisan. typical zappa, make a claim, then when asked to substantiate it, run away.

Just show me where you've questioned anyone on the Right by asking them "what the fuck is your problem" and I will admit I was wrong about you being a partisan douchebag...

Thus, one must ask, in the instances you've seen, was he banned for his trollish behavior?

wow. i've seen pitiful posts, but this takes the cake. if i ask someone "what the fuck is your problem" that makes me partisan. you have not once debated the topic of this thread. all you've done is lob insults. yet you whine like a bitch that others insult and don't debate. since you never attack lefties, by your own logic, you are partisan douchebag.

:palm:

More off-topic attack posts spamming the board? Boring, and so predictable.

Now, back to the thread topic.

A nearly empty U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday passed a stopgap spending measure to avert a government shutdown this weekend and refill disaster aid coffers drained by a series of recent storms, fires and tornadoes.

The measure passed the House with the unanimous permission of all members present in a chamber that was nearly deserted because Congress is on vacation.

It now goes to the White House for President Obama's signature.

Just three lawmakers were there in a session that lasted all of five minutes: Rep. Andy Harris, a Republican, who presided; Rep. John Culberson, a Republican, who offered the motion to pass the bill; and Rep. Chris Van Hollen who represented Democrats.

Why aren't the JPP Pauliticians demanding to know why there was no debate?

This measure was passed using the same mechanism the Senate was using to pass the pipeline safety bill - before gRandstand Paul decided to get some media attention.

Oh so NOW suddenly it's about me...it's TFF how you asked me to show how you were a partisan douchebag...and as soon as I did just that, you move the goalposts.

huh? how is showing you that YOUR logic makes you a douchebag moving the goal posts? my entire point was to show you're an idiot by claiming i'm a partisan douchebag for asking someone "what the fuck their problem is" when they insult me, and yet you don't go after lefties for their insults.

you completely ignored her insults to me and called me a partisan douchebag for asking her what the fuck her problem is. you seriously don't see how intellectually dishonest that is? let me explain:

you claim my "insult" makes me a partisan douchebag, because you (falsely) claim i don't insult those on the right. but, you don't claim christie is a partisan douchebag for insulting me. further, since you never "insult" those on the left, you're guilty of the very thing you (falsely) accuse me of. thus, by your own logic, you're a partisan douchebag.

if you can't handle getting your own bullshit thrown back in your face, then keep quiet.

Are you a complete idiot, or what?

I know what Rand Paul wants, there's no reason for me to call him.

How neatly you're trying to sidestep the FACT that 46 Republicans are on board with the measure. Why aren't you questioning their decision, instead of criticizing my opinion? Why don't you get on the blower and ask the 46 to stand behind Paul?

Must. Defend. Republicans.

View attachment 1312

according to zappa, the highlighted is not an insult

what? i did not side step anything. i know what the other republicans want, there is no reason to call them.

you're just pissed off because your double standard stinks and you know it. they aren't posting here, so why would i need to question them? you made a post, if you're too thin skinned to have someone respond to YOUR post and opinions, stop posting.

i am not defending republicans here. i flat out said the bill should be debated, so obviously i am AGAINST the majority of republicans. what the fuck is your problem?

according to zappa, the highlighted is an insult

Why aren't the JPP Pauliticians demanding to know why there was no debate on the spending measure passed today by the House?

The measure was passed using the same mechanism the Senate was attempting to utilize in order to pass the pipeline safety bill - before gRandstand Paul acted like a two-year old.

So where are the anguished cries for debate?
