Raising The Debt Ceiling

Some would call me a liberal.
You are right, it is a colosal failure of leadership...on the part of George W. Bush.

How many times was the debt limit raised under Bush II ?

How much did Bush II increase the national debt?

Because we are "here today to debate raising America's debt limit" it not all a reflection on President Obama's leadership? It is all Bush's fault? You don't see President Obama's statement as a flip flop?

Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

This thread is not about Bush's spending or debt raising and has nothing at all to do with President Obama's statement.

Another pleasant response from you. Thank you "asshole".

One thing he wants you to do is argue with him.

He's not here to debate, or make any sense.

Dune and (\(\/)/)/ are the board idiots, and bullies.

They're probably still in high school.

Dune? You mean Return of Dune? He is the one who made the comment, so I do not know who you mean by "him". Return of Dune does appear to be another liberal on this board who is not here to debate, rather to start arguments and insult people.

No, I don't see it as a flipflop at all.

Are you trying to say that the economic conditions in 2006 are the same as 2011? They would have to be identical for your point to have any validity.

Sorry.

I made my correction in post #64 before you posted #65.

\(\(\/)/)/, and Dune, (or Return to Dune) are a lot a like in my eyes.

They're probably the same person.

Lets not forget that obama has never had a budget since being in office and we have gone over 3 trillion in debt under his short term.

Obama is worse than Jimmy Carter.

It is just Dune. The return of part simply indicates that I came back.

So, you are O.K. with the 6T that Bush II racked up?

The economic conditions are not the same. How can you say President Obama did not flip flop?

His comment was not tied to the economic conditions in 2006. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. He did not say it was because our economic conditions are good right now, he said it as a statement of fact for all time. He has increased our debt and wants to increase it further, weakening us domestically and internationally and he is shifting the burden of bad choices onto the backs of our children. As President Obama said, Americans deserve better.
