Raising the Debt Ceiling

I would just like to see specifically where any jackass complained about GOP excess DISCRETIONARY spending.

The reds just cut taxes on the wealthy and corporations. Think about how that makes us less able to pay what we owe. We have less revenue. I can figure out how that works.

Better have your Russia programmers run a diagnostic, bot hole.

Only a fucking bot hole would think humans don’t make simple mistakes like that

Only a fucking sociopath would think others are supposed to never make a mistake

You are a failure as a human

This is not a serious topic that should even be engaged. It is for really dumb people, aka GOP supporters.

You do not address spending after you have voted to spend the money and it is spent, by then saying 'should we pay the bill'. You pay the bill by adjusting the debt ceiling to cover the money you already spent and agreed to spend when you voted for it.

If you want to ensure no future debt ceiling raises are needed than you match future budgets to revenues.

What we know for fact, is that if Trump or another GOP POTUS gets in next the same people now pushing to not raise the debt ceiling will applaud it being raised under a GOP admin. What they want is to stop Dem's from running the credit cards so that they have more room to do so, when they get back in.

Even as the GOP argues to not raise the debt ceiling they also argue for cuts in revenue that will just add more debt. They are not serious people and we need to not treat them as such.

The President is not authorized to increase the debt. The HOUSE has that authority.

Pay off the debt with newly printed money.
That significant reduces the value of all horded money while increasing the value of non-liquid assets.

It works for me. The kids already have much of the money through the annual tax-exempt gift provision. Hopefully, they handle it properly to defend against inflation.
They already essentially have our house in an irrevocable trust, although we still pay the taxes and expenses for it.

I've got a vintage Corvette and very expensive custom golf clubs, even though I both drive and play like the decrepit septuagenarian that I am, and my wife hasn't given the lady cop all of her jewelry yet.
We'll be ok for the time we've got left.
