Maybe so. But those who want to be perceived as reasonable protesters don't do the movement any good when they attend rallies with signs like these:
so you think we should infringe on these individuals first amendment right?

you are so wrong and you either don't know it, or refuse to accept it.
The REAL 'TEA party' activists were just as upset about the GOP/Bush spending as they are about the Obama/Dem spending, but you didn't hear about it because what did the media care? The ONLY reason you're hearing more about it now is the MSM's attempt to portray anything antidemocrat/anti-obama as racist, right wing, militia, angry, and any other negative connotation they can throw at them in order to garner public support against them.
do so at your own peril.
claiming that conservatives are becoming more violent toward liberals is a lame argument....it's so lame I think we ought to chain you to a truck bumper and drag you down a gravel road just for raising it......
The tea party movement didn't even form until 2009 so their claiming to to be upset over GOP/bush spending is a form of Monday morning quarterbacking.
so you think we should infringe on these individuals first amendment right?
we prefer to call it the 'building' phase. we were not happy, increasingly so during his second term. When the Democrats continued it, we knew we had to do something more.
Yet nobody was out protesting during those years.
I know you understand how this looks when the tea party is now putting Obama's face on everything they're fighting against.
Are you kidding or just ignorant? At that time they tried to work within the party. They were at our State Assembly walking up and down with signs (usually supporting Ron Paul, but also protesting spending programs implemented by Bush) trying to get people to see "reason". When they were ignored there the movement formed, that movement extended some beyond party lines and was largely successful because they weren't mainstream party. (This, IMO, was messed up when they invited a VP candidate from a major party to speak at a "convention" that they overcharged for people to attend.)Yet nobody was out protesting during those years.

The tea party isn't going to convert the mainstream by appealing to the fringe.
worked for the Democrats in 08.......
I have to confess something here. I just don't feel the rageosity levels that I am supposed to feel according to every liberal I've met lately.

Un huh...and how many times did you vote for Bush?Just like their blind belief in Obama. They think if they say it over and over again, eventually they will believe the lie and the lie becomes truth.
Fact is Obama didn't/doesn't know beans from barley when the bag's open and they were just hoping beyond hope that his experience as a Junior Senator and a community organizer would morph into something of substance.
Now they have a soup sandwich on their hands and they can't get a grip! They are going to try every trick in the book to take the focus off The Failure.
Like rebuilding a 72 Pontiac GTO?Perhaps that's because the days are getting warmer, spring is just around the corner and a young man's thoughts turn to other things.![]()
