Question for the mask experts

Teflon Don

I'm back baby
If one wears a mask won’t they rebreathe their own CO2?

And isn’t CO2 a greenhouse gas that causes warming?

Therefore won’t people who wear masks overheat their innards?

By the way, you are not breathing in a bunch CO2 by wearing a mask. Breathing CO2 like your example would equate would cause you to suffocate. Maybe take 7th-grade science again.

No.
Air passes freely through virtually all masks.
Water gets trapped and nice warm water is a terrific medium to grow things.
Reuse those masks at your peril.

I have that moron on ignore. Is he actually claiming that wearing a home-made fabric or consumer-grade mask will increase the CO2 level in your blood? I'm just shocked that the people I see in stores -- as well as the medical professionals I worked with in my career -- aren't dropping like flies. lol

He's trying some crazed argument about global warming because we breathe CO2 wearing our masks. Well, that's what I got from the discussion preview anyway.

Well, *anything* that impedes flow through the airway will increase the CO2 level in the blood lol.

If you doubt me, hold your breath and watch what happens to your blood CO2. Just don’t hold too long, 30 seconds should be plenty.

Some do. Others dont, also wear the same gloves day in day out.
They do not understand the intent.

And for that reason, whatever benefits public mask use provide, they are mitigated by improper use.

I see it virtually everywhere I go. One of the reasons I don’t wear one is because ‘not touching my mask’ is just one more thing to think about when I walk into the store or whatever.

Besides, stores, restaurants and etc are low risk environments. Studies have shown the greatest risk is in compact crowds—coupled with, significant time.

Avoid subways, crowded bars, crowds of lefty loons and etc, and the mask is basically a security blanket. Or ‘showing people that you care’ or whatever.

Dr. Darth, why not give it a rest for a bit. You're at odds with almost the entire medical and healthcare community at this point.

"Improper use" - do you think that maybe they have determined that less is spread through touching, and that even with poor handling masks stop those pesky respiratory droplets more effectively?

You’ve already proven how stupid you are, and you continue to prove it by not wearing a mask. Your lack of care for your fellow human is on full display.

And now you see why Trump saying cleaning supplies and neon lights is effective in addressing COVID is believed on the right

You don’t wear a mask because fear of touching it stresses you out?

No lol, it’s because *I know* I’m not supposed to touch it and then squeeze cantaloupe to see if it’s ripe.

It’s a hassle and I don’t want to deal with it. And masks are overrated unless you’re in a high risk environment.
