Yes, as the Rittenhouse trial proved. All anyone has to do is come at you. If you are in fear of your life, especially if they've threatened you previously, you're allowed to empty an AR-15 magazine into their guts....or whatever weapon of choice you prefer.

Pleading guilty is all they have since, IIRC, the prosecutors aren't offering plea deals to violent offenders or planners.

OTOH, they might accept a lighter sentence for a small fish to catch a big fish.

Most of the arrested insurrectionists, like the RWNJs on JPP, are mentally ill and have nothing to offer that isn't already posted on FaceBook.

Nope, there's plenty of evidence that election laws were violated in a few key swing states that determined the outcome of the election. No kraken necessary. But we aren't supposed to talk about that, much less investigate it.

It's infuriating to see these guys getting off with very light sentences, but I didn't see anything about Chansley getting violent.

He could have been charged with threatening the Vice President, but all he was guilty of was obstructing the government, which could result in 20 years and a $1Million fine.
