Stop derping all over the thread. Fetus doesn't equal infant but baby means either of those things.

Child can also mean both of those things, and can mean someone that is even adult... I have adult children....

Rubbish. It's a baby because it is called that even as a fetus. As I've repeatedly noted, in every context the word "baby" is not a scientific term and is used by pregnant women to refer to a fetus. Always has been.

The attempt to change the language to fit your politics is just an attempt to control the conversation.

Live with the reality, work with the language we use, if you have to tell people how women are wrong to refer to their baby as a baby you have already lost the conversation.

You think it is a loss, I think it is a loss, but a substantial number of Americans do not, and others, have definitions on when it becomes a baby, and the Government can not enforce the beliefs of one group upon another

I was calling out the attempt to change words for politics, and the word baby is improperly used in that context, it's simply not a baby even if that is what pregnant women call it.

I really do not care much, but I was pointing out how hysterical usage of words betrays his emotion.

“is a baby” is the key, some groups do not need believe it is a baby till birth, Orthodox Jews for example, others disagree on what embryonic stage represents the time when independent human life begins, and there are still others who have different understandings, it is not either or for all Americans
