Sure but you are making the 'trans' person argument which is words have no meaning other than how any individual wants to identify them.
So if a mother says she is carrying an 'adult' or 'baby' in her womb then we should not mansplain and just accept it. And i am fine with that.
i do not care what people 'think' in how THEY want to identify, as i do not think 'identity' needs to be absolutely linked to 'science',, as long as we realize it is not accurate according to biological terms and when we are speaking about science, we then use proper terms.

It can be anything you choose, but its not the common definition and in a political argument it rings desperate and false. The argument can be made without misusing words to create an emotional reaction. That is all I am saying.
The issue, for me, is not what it is, but who has agency over their own body.
It depends on whether the baby is wanted or unwanted.... Then the definitions all change....

It is very common. Pretending you haven't heard a pregnant woman talking about her baby is just you babbling because you don't want to admit you are projecting nonsense into the conversation.
Baby is not a scientific term and refers to humans from fetus to toddlers.
Things that you will hear "normally":
"When is your baby due?"
"Have you picked a name for your baby?"
"The baby is kicking, do you want to feel?"
Stop derping all over the thread. Fetus doesn't equal infant but baby means either of those things.
Child can also mean both of those things, and can mean someone that is even adult... I have adult children....
It is the termination of a life .. And it's understandable why they don't want to label it as such... That's a decision they will have to live with the rest of their lives....They are lucky he didn't go with terminating their lives.
We used to have the most fascinating conversations about this years ago on other forums... They claim it's just a clump of cell or a sack of tissue ....so does that mean there's a clump of cells shower ... not a baby shower?..Of course then the tune changes... and rage ensues....
As I mentioned before it all comes down to whether the baby is wanted or unwanted... If you miscarry you lose a baby....if you have an abortion , you pass some cells....As long as they exercise that agency BEFORE conception after that we are talking about TWO humans. and the unborn deserves the right to live.
I did not say I have never heard a pregnant woman talking about "her baby", In fact I am sure I did it when my wife was pregnant.
You know why it was used in that political argument. It was used to evoke emotion instead of logic.
Those are all arguments, but not what I was discussing, dumb shit.
