Proud Boys Lieutenant Sentenced to 17 Years in Jan. 6 Sedition Case

Joseph Biggs, a onetime lieutenant in the Proud Boys, was sentenced on Thursday to 17 years in prison after his conviction on charges of seditious conspiracy for plotting with a gang of pro-Trump followers to attack the Capitol and disrupt the peaceful transfer of presidential power on Jan. 6, 2021.

And a gang member with long record got probation for attempted murder

That article is BS.

First of all, four people were already convicted of planning the attack before the rally had even started or Trump anything, in fact they showed up there armed with weapons and restraints.

That is not the fault of Trumps words.

Secondly, political rally's are supposed to get people riled up, that is the point of a rally.

Thirdly, saying "fight like hell" does not mean to use violence, it means to resist injustice in this case and that is verified by Trump telling them specifically to protest peacefully.

There is absolutely no way any court is going to convict Trump of this unless Smith can prove a connection between those that had pre-planned this attack and Trump and there isn't one.

Trump had no idea a riot was going to happen and he wasn't trying to inspire one.

If you listen to his over hour long speech there is nothing in there pushing the crowd to storm the capital, in fact it's boring as fact, just a lot of Trump whining about the election. The left have pulled out a couple of phrases out of thousands of words and are using that to try and say Trump caused this.

It's utterly ridiculous.

Once again may dear the proud boys blamed Donald for their actions, as have so many of the other defendants. They testified that they wouldn't have been at the Capitol had it not been for Trump.

Trump hadn't even had his rally at that point and he certainly can't be held responsible for people that do illegal activities in his name.

If what you are saying was true than any criminal could blame their crimes on Biden or anyone else and that person would be held responsible for it.

There is so much more to these indictments my dear. Do you think the 1000 or so arrested were there because of trump?
Early on, very early on he could have told everyone to go home, but he didn't.

More proof that everything that Trump touches dies. Everyone associated with him directly. All those obeying his instructions, whether those instructions were direct or not.

One of the most toxic people in our generation.

He told them to protest peacefully and they ignored him, why in the world do you think they would stop rioting if he told them to.

Trump's staff organized the rally in advance. He picked the speakers to rouse up as hate and anger as he could. Can you guess what would have happened if Trump did not hold a rally at the same time and as close to the capital as possible? Of course. Absolutely nothing would have happened. No insurrection. No people getting hurt. Trump was absolutely responsible and he should pay bigly.

Why would you hold a political rally just to tell people to go home?

Kinda defeats the purpose don't ya think?
