Projections for Tuesday Night

I hate the EC system and want to switch to the popular vote. However, if Obama were to win the EC and lose the popular vote, I would laugh my ass off. Here's why.

What no republican will talk about is that in the runup to the 2000 election, the republicans privately believed that Bush might win the Popular vote and lose the EC. They made plans to revolt and refuse to concede because Bush winning the popular vote made him President. THis is all public record, but it amazes me how little it is discussed. It happened, it's public record, they were going to fight the electoral result.

So we know for sure they would have done that this year if...Bush hadn't lost the popular vote. We know what they would have done. They told us. Will 2000 prevent them from doing just that this time? At this point, having watched Republican hypocrisy for so long, I really would not bet on that! So let the fireworks begin.

Finally, regardless of how they win, Republicans simply never accept Democrats as legitimately elected President. In 08 they pushed their Acorn stole the election horseshit and with CLinton they claimed that both times he did not get 50% percent of the vote he was not legit.

So really, what difference does it make whether Obam wins the popular vote or not? If he is reelected, they will squeal like stuck pigs from now till doomsday.

public record? i couldn't find anything to back up your claim about privately held beliefs and then this alleged public record.

can you cite this in order to back up your claim? thanks.

As I've been saying before the election cycle began, Obama wins.

He's much too valuable to the plutoceacy for him to lose.

The MIC is attacking Africa. Romney can't do that without protest .. Obama can.

Desh, still waiting for your prediction. If you feel mine is wrong, offer an alternative. See Post #9 for instructions.

If Obama does win, I believe it will look something like this:

But Romney is almost certain to win the popular vote regardless.

Voltaire, I am in close agreement with your numbers. I think Romney will win the popular vote and will likely win PA narrowly. I think he should have been fighting in PA earlier. If he loses OH, PA would be a great alternate and has more electorates. My belief is that the bulk of the polls we see are skewed towards Obama and over sample democrats. In polls where Obama is up by 2 or 3, he might be tied, and in polls that they are both tied in Romney likely leads, which is why I have said all along that Romney will win with room to spare. Plus this-

First the numbers. And let’s start with the big one: Before Gallup suspended polling due to Hurricane Sandy, Mitt Romney was at or above 50 percent among likely voters for 14 consecutive days. No candidate above 50 percent at this point has ever lost the presidential race.

Ever.

Also forgot to mention, Romney is ahead by 6 points in early voting according to Gallup... Something you don't hear from liberal news. Not to mention in a close race like this, undecideds and independents tend to break to the challenger

I predict there will be scattered weather on Tuesday with a gradual warming trend cooling again in the evening. Now back to your regular programming.

Romney wins, IMO. This is based on early voting trends which traditionally have gone all for Ds in this poll:

(the result I'm speaking of is at the bottom).
Meh, theres something kinda funky with Gallops projection of early voting based on projected turn out. A projection based upon a projection?

Hey Topspin, if you don't like my prediction, why don't you offer an alternative instead of simply groaning all my posts, you fucking pussy.

Gallup is wrong

I'll update this on Tuesday morning, but at this point I'm feeling pretty confident. Please post your projections as well, and refrain from attacking others - I want to keep this thread civil and on-topic.

51.8% / 315 EV Romney
47.0% / 223 EV Obama
1.2% Other

I do believe Romney will ultimately win Pennsylvania by a narrow margin. I'm fully aware the polling lends no credence to this prediction, but I feel the momentum building for such a victory.

Mod: can you pin this?

You're Tripping!
