What does use the infrastructure more mean? Does that mean if you're working class or poor and forced out of cities and the affluent suburbs because they don't build enough housing and have to commute 50 miles or more to your job you should pay more in taxes for using more of our roads etc?

Looks like the Repubs have an actual ability to attract centrists as well as the base.
They picked up a lot of centrist Dems to elect Trump,and they have a huge lead in statehouses/Congress

Not that I want any part of them either -any establishment party is to be shunned- but it is what it is

Are you suggesting there aren't plenty of centrists in the Democratic Party?

Hillary Clinton is a centrist .. and there are more of them in the Democratic Party than the Republican Party.

The democratic tent is FAR more open and diverse than the Republican Party .. thus my question. Why would a 'big tent' be of any concern to a republican?

Have you seen in liberals in the Republican Party?

The Republican Party is virtually all white.

Maybe the definition of a open tent gas been redefined in republican world.

We have democrats on this board calling out others for being 'fake Democrats' and 'fake liberals' and not members of 'my party' even though they vote for the same people. How is that an open tent?

There are conservatives within the Democratic Party .. there are virtually ZERO liberals in the Republican Party .. and your party is virtually all white ..

Are you serious? The Republican party is much less ideologically diverse and right wing than the Democratic party is left wing. Republicans have many senators that have -0.9 DW-nominate scores (meaning they vote against virtually everything the Democrats support), whereas the most left wing Dem has like a 0.5, and the average is much closer to the center. You live in a delusional world where if everyone isn't an outright fascist Nazi, they're a communist.

The Republican party has a huge range of views, people that want to gas all non WASPs to people who just want to gas Muslims and blacks.

At no point in American history has any party ever contained as much extremists as the Republican party currently does. The Democrats have remained virtually unchanged, all the movement has been on the Republican side. Nearly every member of the Republican party is a right wing extremist.

If that's what they were meant to do, you would be right. Those "corporate shareholders" are investing for retirement and maybe a legacy for their families(and if they're not, it's none of your business). The whole point of tax cuts in 2017 should be to lure foreign investment and spark entrepreneurship here at home. And Trump's proposals lower taxes for workers, too. I have no freaking clue what you on the left want anymore. Hell, I don't think you know yourselves. You've invented a list of problems so long and over reaching that only being a resident of the kingdom of heaven could solve, and then tell us that only with more taxation, regulation, and GOVERNMENT in general, can these "problems" be solved.

This is just a little sample of what I think you want. C'mon, admit it. Complete government control over American industry, large and small, gives you guys a little chubby, doesn't it?
