Pro lifers show no mercy

So do you advocate calling it a Fetus Shower?

Do people ask women "When is your fetus due" or "What are you going to name your fetus"

That's up to people who want a baby and start investing emotionally in that potential part of their family. That is their choice as well and benefits the health and gestational care of the fetus.

Do people usually do that when a woman is putting a baby up for adoption? Make a big fuss, have a shower, congratulate her?

Cryptic. Was he killing other prisoners?

What's cryptic? - he was killing people who had not committed crimes that society deems to be a capital offense. Many of his targets, like those of Gary Ridgeway, were social outcasts many would consider to have led immoral lives, but he nevertheless had no moral right to harm them.

I am presuming you are a female and have had children. When you were pregnant did you think it was a baby or a fetus? At what point did you become emotionally attached? Have you ever miscarried? Did you get upset? Why get upset over a fetus.

Bottom line is you have to twist yourself in knots. You think having a baby is a burden. The sad truth of the matter is that the feminist movement has led women o believe that their entire lives revolve around their vaginas. It is degrading.

Why do 'rightists' believe that pro-choice people believe this??? It's absolute bullshit.

What part of 'choice' dont you understand? Women should and DO have all those choices.

INCIDENCE OF ABORTION

• Nearly half of pregnancies among American women are unintended, and about four in 10 of these are terminated by abortion.[1] Twenty-two percent of all pregnancies (excluding miscarriages) end in abortion.[2]

Forty percent of pregnancies among white women, 67% among blacks and 53% among Hispanics are unintended.[1]

• In 2008, 1.21 million abortions were performed, down from 1.31 million in 2000. However, between 2005 and 2008, the long-term decline in abortions stalled. From 1973 through 2008, nearly 50 million legal abortions occurred.[2]

• Each year, two percent of women aged 15–44 have an abortion. Half have had at least one previous abortion.[2,3]

• At least half of American women will experience an unintended pregnancy by age 45, and, at current rates, one in 10 women will have an abortion by age 20, one in four by age 30 and three in 10 by age 45.[4,5]

WHO HAS ABORTIONS?

Eighteen percent of U.S. women obtaining abortions are teenagers; those aged 15–17 obtain 6% of all abortions, teens aged 18–19 obtain 11%, and teens younger than age 15 obtain 0.4%.[6]

Women in their 20s account for more than half of all abortions; women aged 20–24 obtain 33% of all abortions, and women aged 25–29 obtain 24%.[6]

• Non-Hispanic white women account for 36% of abortions, non-Hispanic black women for 30%, Hispanic women for 25% and women of other races for 9%.[6]

• Thirty-seven percent of women obtaining abortions identify as Protestant and 28% as Catholic.[6]

Women who have never married and are not cohabiting account for 45% of all abortions [6]

• About 61% of abortions are obtained by women who have one or more children. [6]

• Forty-two percent of women obtaining abortions have incomes below 100% of the federal poverty level ($10,830 for a single woman with no children).[6]

• Twenty-seven percent of women obtaining abortions have incomes between 100–199% of the federal poverty level.* [6]

• The reasons women give for having an abortion underscore their understanding of the responsibilities of parenthood and family life. Three-fourths of women cite concern for or responsibility to other individuals; three-fourths say they cannot afford a child; three-fourths say that having a baby would interfere with work, school or the ability to care for dependents; and half say they do not want to be a single parent or are having problems with their husband or partner.[7]

And what does this have to do with your statement that 'leftists' only want women to have abortion and not consider other options?

It doesnt even mention other options.

Also TD, if anything, your post should prove why abortion is an unfortunate, but needed, option. Just look at the income levels attributed to the women choosing abortion. Or your bold: sure, bring a kid into the world when it damages your future ability to afford other children, you are not emotionally ready, or into a dysfunctional family.

Now that is sound, solid "righty' thinking! LMAO

Yeah, you're doing all those 'babies' a HUGE favor.

Almost everything in your post is wrong. No kids, never wanted them. "WE" decided not to have them. And I've never regretted it. Selfish? Yup, but hey, life is good. Besides deciding to have a kid is selfish too....no one has a kid 'for society' or 'to contribute to the population.'

I get emotionally attached to plenty of babies, kids, teens, adults. Why would I get emotionally invested in a fetus that was completely unrelated to me and might never be born? Why does anyone? What business is it of yours?

Nothing degrading about making the best and most responsible choices you can about *your* life.

So this thread is saying that pro-life people are heartless.

And the people saying that are ones who advocate pulling healthy babies half-way out of the birth canal, puncturing their skulls with scissors and vacuuming out their brains?

Do I have this right?

No.

So no partial-birth abortion advocates share this opinion?

Interesting.

Hard to believe, but interesting nonetheless.

Share what opinion? This thread is about how heartless pro lifers allow for no exceptions, even if the fetus is not likely to survive until birth or if born until its first birthday.

So you don't understand what partial birth abortion has to do with heartlessness and being merciless?

After less than four hours deliberation, a jury declared Ruben Anthony Cepeda guilty of two counts of second-degree murder for shooting his pregnant girlfriend.

I understand that it's used by lying scum to fool idiots into supporting such laws. Which are you? According to Truth Deflector's source, 1.5% of abortions occur after 21 weeks. Less than a 7th of those are D&X, most are not on viable fetuses and many have some serious abnormalities or threaten the life of the mother.

They had to travel far, with small children, and a pregnant woman....$$$$$$

And an emotionally painful (and physical for preg woman?) journey.....that took days instead of a morning.

What if you were looking forward to a baby and found out that it would be born devastatingly ill? How would you feel spending DAYS on a journey to terminate it?

The assumption that ANY abortion is an easy or pleasant decision is one of the most ignorant and hateful ever and pro-lifers almost without exception just fling this out there and assume it. Like divorce for example....it is a decision that may be very painful but necessary for people to move on to more healthy lives.

Once again, we see that there are many many Christians 'in name only' that do not practice their faith...only use it to accuse others.

But since liberals describe as just a lump of cells, what's the problem?

How does Bundy figure into this?

Was the "collateral damage" (I hate that term) in Iraq murder, or is that imagination and emotion?

It's a good argument for why, if we perceive a threat from a world leader such as Saddam, we should enable the CIA/special operations forces to conduct assassinations.
