That is fact. But it still doesn't change the fact that women are the one's who have babies. How do you change the nuturing/motherly instinct many women have? And since marriage is becoming less and less common among those who have children how many single moms can raise their children alone and fight with men at the office who work 12-14 hour days?

In the UK, a woman need only inform the police and the man will be removed from the property. It has gone from a situation where domestic violence was not an offence, which was wrong, to where the woman's word is invariably believed.

We are not very chummy now, he has apologised to me and I accepted it. I don't overlook all of the foul things he has said down the years. I have never really liked Darla, she is a divisive character who seemingly gets a kick out of stirring shit.

You are conflating false DV reports with DV reports that are not pursued. WHen a man or a woman (men file for restraining orders too) go to court for a restraining order, a temporary restraining order will be issued immediately, whether the complaintant is a man or a woman. No gender disparity exists. Both are equally protected under the law. WIthin days, the filer must provide the court with evidence of DV or the order is dropped. Often the filer does not provide evidence and the order is dropped. Your claim is that all of these are false reports. That's laughable on its face. Often what really happens is that the offender apologizes, swears it will never happen again, and the victim does not pursue it because the offender will lose their job or there will be other consequences that will adversely affect the children in the relationship. This is real world stuff and I don't believe for a minute you don't know it. I don't know what happened to make you so bitter but whatever it was you don't get to just selectively post things that don't stand up to any scrutiny.

Since the VAWA was passed, what is catagorized as "intimate partner homicide" has declined by 34 percent. DO you know how many lives that represents? That is a big accomplishment and I applaud it.

Before the VAWA, police went to homes and a bleeding and wounded woman would swear her husband didn't beat her because he had threatened to kill her/beat her worse when they left, and the police could do nothing. Now they will arrest the offender regardless of whether the woman agrees to press charges. So if your story is true, the police did not follow the law. As a lawyer you should have been able to do something about that.

We have been treated to story after story about all of the men posting at JPP who have been "falsely accused" of something or other by some bitch. You notice the JPP bitches don't tell their stories. You know why? Those stories are irrelevant.

Statistically we know who the offenders are, we know who's dying, and we know that VAWA has saved countless lives. But there is still work to be done.

I deleted my fb account weeks ago as I decided I wanted to spend less time online all around. It's also why I was attempting to take a pre-election break from here. It had nothing to do with you.

Your bitterness is something you should talk to someone about, but it's not anything that affects me. The men here are not my problem, thankfully. They don't seem to get that. All of you seem to believe that you are striking some big blow for men against the bitches. Most men don't want anything to do with you or the blows you are striking. Mott as for your divorce story, that is not the courts fault then, or anyone's fault. That's just real life. At some point people will do anything to get out of a bad marriage. I know a woman very well who gave up everything, including her half of the house, to get out. She signed it all away. In fact her divorce lawyer made her sign papers absolving him of any responsibility and stipulating he had advised against her signing the deal. It was so bad he was afraid she'd come back and sue him.

She just wanted out.

That's life. And let's not conflate that with the courts taking everything from you. They didn't. Nor do they. Someone may feel they got screwed, but the idea that the courts step in and strip men of everything in a divorce is laughable and easily debunked by the fact that women's standard of living after a divorce, statistically, is lowered and men's raised.

You guys just post shit with no regard for actual facts. You are very in love with "the bitch" anecdotes. But the data says otherwise. Not you in particular, I understand you then told the truth and that's great, but really. Come on here. This thread is a bunch of nonsense and whining.

This is why no one believes your hyperbole, on the one hand you say deaths have gone down 34% and then go on to say that countless lives have been saved. What is 34% of countless?

I can't speak for the US system but in this country the police can remove a man on the say so of the woman who then has to leave and in seven days mount a defence in court. If the woman is on legal aid then a solicitor or more likely a barrister will be appointed charging charging 300-500 pounds an hour whilst the man will have to fund the defence out of his own pocket. The woman can in the meantime change the locks and deny access to the property, this is something that has happened many times. The old system was undoubtedly bad but it has now been replaced by a system where the man is assumed to be guilty until proved innocent.

I count Mott as a very good friend, even if we had a major disagreement we wouldn't throw our toys out of the pram like some on here.
