2. You aren't even paying for your health care anyway, someone else is...your employer. You said as much countless times. If your employer ceased paying for your coverage, who would have to pick up the tab?
3. All we're talking about is socializing the mechanism by which your doctor is reimbursed for the care they provide you, after the fact. It's a part of the process you aren't involved.

There's also the fact that employer-provided health insurance is a burden on the employer. Single payer health insurance would remove that burden, resulting in more jobs and a stronger economy.
