I don't get the reaction. It's obvious Tom didn't mean any harm by it. He probably just thought people would find it funny...he doesn't deserve to be treated like shit just because some people don't find it funny. Have a little grace, for christ's sake.

Thanks for that, I find it funny but then us Brits are all gay anyway! Poet probably realises that he has made a tit of himself with his massive over reaction but is too proud to admit his mistake. Unfortunately so much of modern life appears to revolve around humourless people who take offence for the most trivial of reasons. He admits to being an activist but I think agitprop is nearer the truth.

First of all, you're not Voltaire. Second, you don't know what he meant. And you think this is being "treated like shit"? Girl, put on your big girl panties and buck up. It never ceases to amaze me. When you're wrong, you just can't bring yourselves to admit it. It has to be the other's fault. Being "treated like shit" was what Zimmerman did to Trayvon Martin. This, nowhere approaches "that". I'm not quite sure what you're problem is; I was simply commenting on how people responded to Tom. Instead of ignoring it or even saying "I don't find it funny" (which would have sufficed), you've proceeded to attack his character. That is the part I fail to understand. Perhaps you could help me understand how a self-professed Christian can justifiably treat another person in that manner?

remember a couple weeks ago when poet said i was obsessed or something for responding to his thread about this issue and that i should let it go...and i pointed out that his first thread upon return was about this issue and that i was merely responding.

and here we have poet still talking it about the issue weeks later when he claims no one is talking about it. the guy is an attention whore, nothing more. hey look, that rhymed.
