In this case they were people who died centuries ago, who were incredibly ignorant by modern standards, and had no conception of the future of America as it has evolved.

I wasn't saying that you shouldn't believe in our country or our form of government I was saying that you shouldn't believe in government as a salvation in the same way that I would believe in say Jesus Christ. It's one thing to respect and admire your country and all that it has and can accomplish but it's another thing to allow yourself to become dependent on it. That's what I meant.
