In this case they were people who died centuries ago, who were incredibly ignorant by modern standards, and had no conception of the future of America as it has evolved.
We've learned quite a bit since 1781, but cons seem to want to stay stuck on stupid. They're like the Islamists who want to pretend it's the 8th century.
Maybe ILA would like to submit to 18th century medical practices next time he needs surgery.

If I gave you that impression then I misspoke. I wasn't saying that you shouldn't believe in our country or our form of government I was saying that you shouldn't believe in government as a salvation in the same way that I would believe in say Jesus Christ. It's one thing to respect and admire your country and all that it has and can accomplish but it's another thing to allow yourself to become dependent on it. That's what I meant.
