Here is the problem with your analysis. You can just as easily be told that you don't have those rights anymore. Does that make it true?

People were armed to the teeth long before anyone wrote in down and said it was your right....it just was you right, from the beginning of time.....
same with self defense, speech and what you believed or didn't believe.....

It was put in ink to inform everyone that those were your inalienable ,absolute, unassailable, and inherent rights and to inform others that trying to tamper or undercut those rights was not going to be tolerated....

It's a problem with the secular progressive's conception of rights. The founders conceived of rights being ultimately granted by the Creator and the Constitution served to enumerate them. It serves as the highest ideal in any known system of government.

It gives a sort of moral gravitas to rights [men are more apt to fight and die for them] that isn't to be found in the secular progressive view of rights, which is bankrupt in that sense.

If man is the ultimate grantor of rights, man can surely take them away---without a fight.
 
The problem with these brain dead retards on the left is they think they alone are ANOINTED to govern, They think a one ideology America is the way to go, so long as it is ultra whackjob Leftism.
