As far as I can see, the only thing out of control is the human population.
There are at least two times too many of us for the planet to comfortably accommodate,
but I'd place the number higher than that.

As for how we distribute ourselves over the planet's surface,
that didn't become an issue until after it became too late.

I was born here, and I often wish that I had somewhere else to go.

I'm too old, unfortunately, and the places that I might like to go have tough immigration laws.

23 and Me DNA testing says that I'm Italian,
so maybe I should have moved there right after my discharge from military service
while I was still young.

I do like the food available here in America,
so at least there's that. Based on my limited travels,
our food is the best on the planet.

That must be the attraction for the undocumented refugees
because what the hell else have we got going for us?
