In a piece with a headline declaring her an "icon of female power," Pelosi was asked by the reporter "if she considers herself Mr. Trump's equal."

"The Constitution does," she replied.

That means that San Fran Nan gets to name Ruth Bader Corpseburg's replacement!

LOLOLOLOLOL!!! What an idiot

Nope. Not equal. A equal branch of the government does not equal the head of that branch to be equal to the POTUS. Not now; never.

The speaker can be an ordinary, private citizen. In fact, there really are not any legal restrictions on qualifications for that office.

3 co-equal branches of government. Uh oh, my teachers LIIIIIED TO ME! I don't remember them telling me that the HEAD WASN'T EQUAL to 'its parts'. OR, did my teachers fail to tell me that CO-EQUAL is void when there is a REPUBLICAN president?

These 2 sources must be wrong as well...

The United States Constitution divides government into three separate and distinct branches: the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches. The concept of separate branches with distinct powers is known as "separation of powers." ... Thebranches check each others powers and use a system known as checks and balances.

Three Branches: Separate but Equal. The powers of our federal (national) government are divided into three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. The branches are separate but equal. They each have special responsibilities concerning laws, the principles that govern our nation.

She as one person is not equal to the President of the US

Your recollection is not your teacher's fault.

The Congress has delegated much of its Constitutional authority to the President.

BRANCHES, not INDIVIDUALS; but keep dreaming. LOL

I barely remember my boring school days, but most of us by middle school\jr. high should know about the equal branches of government. You don't belong debating politics, if you don't even understand politics 101, Volsrock.

I am so writing an email to her office suggesting she write an executive order for Trump to turn over his tax returns!

Congress consists of the House (435 members) and the Senate (100 members). The SCOTUS consists of 9 members. So Nancy is 1/535 of Trump and 1/9 Race Baiter Ginsberg.

3rd in line of succession and speaker of the house. There is one speaker, not 435. Do you know anything?

Well, if she believes she is one whole branch of the government by herself who am I to try to teach her the difference? She and 534 other folks are a co-equal branch, not just her.

I think she meant that the constitution gives everyone equal rights. In the words of Thomas Jefferson, "We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal." According to our founders, the government and the people in the government aren't any better than common citizens and only exist as servants of the people, not superior to the people.

Nice think, uh: GUESS :good4u:

Apparently, Pelosi thinks she is superior.
