Pelosi responds to Trump, says she won’t allow State of the Union during shutdown

Partisan, petty and vindictive by Pelosi. First she wants to leave town during the shutdown -trump cancelled her plans for that -now she wants to deny Trump a platform to speak to the nation ( not just Congress) by a Constitutionally mandated speech;
All this while refusing to even meet with POTUS and negotiate to end the shutdown! all of this is personal for her.
If she wanted to negotiate an end to the shutdown it could be done in a meeting or 2

But it’s Trump’s shutdown lol!

You and Trump are going to have to live with the consequences, and be held accountable for shutting down the government, practicing open extortion, and crashing the Obama economy.

I, for one, was pretty much expecting yet another Great Republican Recession at some point. That's basically what happens when you don't elect Democrats.
lots of hyperbole here. No it's not "Obama economy"
2 years after Trump takes office - how long do you want to cling to that after Trump's deregulation and tax cuts?
Keep expecting a recession. The world is slowing down, it doesn't mean a recession.

Trump owned the the original shut down. Pelosi owns the continued shutdown by refusal to negotiate an and-
she won't even counter offer or even sit at a negotiating table . She sucks lemons instead

I love that he looks so weak, the first president uninvited to give his SOTU in the House chambers.

So weak.

What a pitiful negotiator, he has not gained an inch in 33 days.
who refuses to negotiate? It aint Trump.
How do you negotiate with someone that refuses to even come to the table?

Ah, no

And I do believe that was a Special Session FDR called for, which Trump could do if desperate but it still doesn't have to be held in the House unless the House approves it

You just said it lol.

POTUS has the authority to call a special session—and talk about whatever he wants to.

Pelosi is not doing "offers."

She is getting bills passed to re-open the government. Trump says he will not sign them...and his puppet, Mitch McDonnell is refusing to allow them to come to the Senate floor.
Pelosi's political intransigence.
She hasn't moved an inch since this started. Trump has been trying to get them to come together

semantics. Since Woodrow Wilson it's been done this way. why the change? Because Pelosi sucks lemons

IT IS NOT A FUCKING CONSTITUTIONALLY MANDATED SPEECH. YOU SAID IT WAS.

WHY ARE YOU UNABLE TO ACKNOWLEDGE WHEN YOU ARE WRONG?

You just said it lol.

POTUS has the authority to call a special session—and talk about whatever he wants to.

A Special Session is not automatically a Joint Session of Congress, there is a difference, and to call a Special Session the President has to show cause or lose credibility, exact reason it is done rarely

calling out Pelosi for her intransigent, petty, inability to negotiate is for the "good"
She's the one keeping the shutdown going -not Trump who has been trying to negotiate.

All that aside....politics isn't really "good or bad" unless it violates the 8 fold noble path.
It's opinion.

As usual you are a liar

Pelosi's political intransigence.
She hasn't moved an inch since this started. Trump has been trying to get them to come together

Trump said repeatedly and relentlessly that Mexico was paying for his Berlin Wall.
Not the US Congress.
Trump needs to go to Mexico City and beg the President of Mexico for money to build his beautiful wall.

A Special Session is not automatically a Joint Session of Congress, there is a difference, and to call a Special Session the President has to show cause or lose credibility, exact reason it is done rarely

If I am not mistaken...the congress has got to be in recess also.

They ARE in session right now. There is no need for a special session...THEY ARE IN SESSION.

Pelosi's political intransigence.

Come on "noise," no know that ain't true

Pelosi has already passed legislation to open up the Gov't, that sits on Mitch's desk, and all Trump did was throw out there Graham's proposal that even the GOP Senate rejected couple of years ago

It is Trump's shutdown, he stated specifically why he shut down the Gov't and what his demand was, he ain't getting it, so it is his move now to compromise
