Palin's hypocrisy!

Look at President Obama's Q&A with R's from a couple weeks ago, those questions were very detailed, no answers on a teleprompter for that... He did an AWSOME job, so good the R's are refusing to do it again!

lol.....and I bet he came up with those questions off the top of his head, right?....

It's pretty silly to suggest at this point that Obama is some sort of scripted robot who is completely unable to think on his feet. He was sharp in all of the debates leading up to the election (and there were quite a few of those), and he's been sharp in his press conferences, which hs does not shy away from like some recent Presidents I can think of.

He's a smart guy, and knows the issues inside & out. If you disagree w/ his policies, that's one thing, but to imply that he needs a teleprompter to sound intelligent is ignorant of reality.

explain how a teleprompter would work in a press conference format? no one knows for sure what any reportere is gtoing to ask, and no one knows what his or her follow up questions might be... how do you script and project answers to questions in an unscripted event when you don't know the questions?

He could "um" and "er" enough for his handlers to type in his response.

I watched it once....I don't recall any new ground being covered.....didn't he just rehash the same rhetoric we've been hearing for a year?....

He gave detailed numbers and facts rebutting the Republicans loaded questions. The arguments came from the President, not some pundent and the questions came from the Congressional Republicans.

He gave some detailed and well reasoned responces that I had not heard before.

but to imply that he needs a teleprompter to sound intelligent is ignorant of reality.

ah yes....disregard all the instances where he faltered without it.....all those jokes about the TOTUS were baseless accusations of a vast mainstream media conspiracy.....

Personally I dont give a crap if the message is on someone's hand or on a teleprompter.

I just find it funny that those who support GWB make fun of Obama for the ocasional "um".

I also find it funny that those who attack President Obama for teleprompter use, defend Palin for writing on her hand.

It was kinda amusing to see Palin resort to a method I have not used since the 6th grade, but I dont see it as a reflection of her intelegence. THere is plenty of evidence of her intelegence from other sources.

I belive it appears kind of weak, imagine a president speaking to a forign assembly of lawmakers with notes written on her hand!

An "occasional um"!!!

If we had a dollar for evertime he uses it, we could probably pay off the deficit!! :cof1:

If she was President she'd have a group of people around her whose job it is to hand her note paper. Chances are she was on the way, thought of some things she really wanted to hit upon, and wrote them down on the first thing at "hand"...

And who are you accusing of supporting GWB? We are simply pointing out to a person who attacked her that Palin's notes on her hand are less conspicuous than the ever-present teleprompter at Obama's Press conferences (far more than notes there folks) and that it is hypocrisy to try to trash her for minimal notes when the person they support rarely speaks without his crutch.

That's some pretty partisan hyperbole. Obama has a few gaffes, but he also puts in a lot of camera time (which, ironically, many on the right complain about).

You're just showing your hack colors, nothing more. Like I said, he's been one of our better President-communicators when speaking off the cuff. I understand your disagreement with policy, but trying to make hay out of how he speaks & comes across makes you look silly....

She had a prepared text on paper directly in front of her and basically read it.... did you see the speach?

Yes...and your response has nothing to do with my post....

No one with half a brain can seriously compare 4 words written on a hand with using a teleprompter like you tryed to do.........can you grasp that ?

Hey dude you must be retarded. She had, like, seven words written on her palm. That's practically having a surrogate speech maker stand in for her...

I don't think that Obama uses a teleprompter during press conferences. Speeches yes, but press conferences? not so much.

I just think that the four points she wrote down were so simplistic that it was remarkable that she needed to have them written on her hand. It was one small step above having her NAME written there to insure she wouldn't forget THAT.

Obama had 2 teleprompters to talk to the press in an elementary school fcol! He's pathetically insecure to talk without one!

Wow, have you been the master of exaggeration.

You guys can't have it both ways; the right often complains about Obama speaking too much to the media, and that includes "non teleprompter" events - press conferences (you probably forgot about those during the Bush years), interviews, the works.

Yes, he uses a teleprompter for his speeches, but he logs plenty of impromptu camera time. Stop exaggerating.

*sigh*

In the Press room, there is a teleprompter. The Press complained that pictures were obstructed so they moved it to the back of the room on a large screen TV. He uses the teleprompter at most times even during what you are calling "unscripted" appearances.
