So your view is that her gracious public statement (was it really "gracious?") about Ted Kennedy notwithstanding that people other than Ted Kennedy treated here poorly is somehow notable?

I have only spoken ill of one dead politician on these boards. And I did that for very good, and personal, reasons.

However, if you are going to encourage people to "take a cue from Sarah's play-book on ghracious behavior", I would suggest you not limit it to Palin haters or liberals.

Not every politician, all of whom we can assume want to maintain future political viabilty, made public statements. The fact that what Sarah Palin has to say is important enough for media attention likewise indicates she already HAS future political viability.

She's a class act and a rock star...GO SARAH!

Rock star isn't just any politician. Rock star wanna run for President.

This was political. Rock star wasn't doing it out of class or the goodness of her heart. Rock star is trying to broaden her appeal, and appear statesmanlike.

Times up. Teddy Kennedy is the kind of social welfare state liberal that made me become a Republican in the first place. He's just an inverse image of a right wing reactionary like Jesse Helms. Didn't have much use for either one. Never wished either man ill will but they were both the kind of polarizing figures with often extreme veiws that we probably could have done with out.
