Let's say you are correct that Palin was unfairly attacked. And let's ignore for the moment Palin's use of "blood libel" because it's so fucking stupid I don't know where to begin. Instead, let's look at what she said about those attacking her:




She's basically saying that the criticism of her rhetoric on the grounds that it incites violence is bad because that criticism serves only to incite violence. Hos is she any better than her critics here? She's doing exactly the thing that she is criticizing others for.

She does actually have a basis for her comments. I think she is not helping her cause, but she WAS attacked by the media. So there is a reason for her comments.

No, her intent was to show that she is persecuted unjustly. The phrase is generally considered to be anti-Semitic. She is once again using a phrase to incite that will come back to bite her in the ass! She loves controversy, like you said, it makes lots of money, does she have another book coming out?

I take issue with that comment. She has not been attached by the media. She has certainly attacked by left leaning pundits but so what, Fox News is out their right now working as an apologist for her. The media is doing there job. Palin is a potential Presidential candidate and should be scrutinized.

First, I am correct. She was unfairly attacked. Period. We know that this lunatic was obsessed with Gifford since 2007. Yet the media couldn't wait for any facts to be known. They just HAD to drag her through the mud while beating her with bats. It was a pathetic display by the media.

Second, yes, the use of blood libel was dumb.

1) The media IS creating an atmosphere of vitriolic hatred with their attacks on Palin. I know you and many on the left want to pretend that suddenly 'targeting' opponents is something new. But it isn't. It has been used for longer than you have been alive.

2) Her stating that they are creating the very atmosphere they accuse her of is correct. Her calling them out for their unjust attacks is not the same. Its not in the same ball park. Its not even in the same country. Putin is closer.

I don't think it would be difficult to show she is unfit or unable to lead. Voter anger would be worth some points in a primary or two, but not an election.

You REALLY don't get it. Palin was criticized LAST YEAR when she first placed gun sights on Democrats. It was irresponsible and dangerous THEN, and this shooting makes it CLEAR that it is irresponsible and dangerous now.

If Sarah had said all of us, including her, needed to avoid excessively harsh or military-style language, without retreating one inch from her strongly held beliefs she would have gained some respect.

She chose to doubled down and basically repeat what she said when people were critical of her gun sights map last year.
