Until there is a massive die out of the social conservatives in your party, that sort of platform is a loser, christ it is a loser in the Democratic party. Drugs, queers, abortions, these are the three most important planks of the Republican party during the primaries. Till economic issues and issues of less government become more important, you will be a minority in your party, and your party will be the minority in politics.

Wow not a valid comparison at all. First of all Bono had established himself as a successful businessman, then mayor, before winning a seat in the House, while AlFranken was an unfunny comedian who failed as a talk show host. The House, unlike the Senate, is designed for regular folks not professional politicians. Out of 435 members all serving two year terms you'd expect to see some weirdos and sure enough we've seen a few.

As an oil guy, I'd love to see her in office.
Personally I don't see a neocon win without wars ending including the racist drug war.
Since Obama is tip toeing on these issues, the door is cracked for someone to kick it down. Sarah Barracuda????

The AP headlines today are quoting Palin as saying that "Politically, if I die, I die ..." Frankly that sounds like she really doesn't give a crap about her political future. I think that realities of politics and political life were worlds apart from her expectations, and revealed themselves, ultimately, as something that she was not at all equipped to deal with and never would be.

But, the monumental failure I see now...is in the white house and his administration...it is filled with crooks, tax cheats, racists and liars...and with those my friend we are going to pay dearly for..

Unless you have a crystal ball and can see in the future, you can not yet predict what Sarah Palin will be as President..

I believe ideology clouds your vision good sister.

Obama and his adminsistration is not all that you claim or hope that it is .. and I'm not an Obama supporter.

It takes no more than 5 minutes of listening to Sarah Palin to know that she has no future in politics outside of Alaska politics, which she no longer has either.

Her future is in TV and on the talk circuit .. for a while .. but then it will all go away.

Such is celebrity in America.
