No doubt the republican party has some hair cutting to do to get cleaned up.
They are the party of less gov? Then they need to embrace the end of the republican ginned up war on drugs. The youth have rejected the racist reasons it got started.
They can not win without doing this uless the economy still looks like this in 2011 which it won't .

They need to reject it because it is illogical to assume the failures of prohibition past won't be repeated with new prohibition just because it is called a "War". We stand in the middle of gang shootings, etc. that were prevalent during the last prohibition and wonder how we can defeat an "enemy". The same way we did last time. Decriminalization and age restrictions. It will never not be a problem, but we can stop wasting lives and resources on it that we should be thrifty with. Instead we are spendthrift with freedoms as well as lives in this inane "War".

The war on drugs should be attacked on how much it is costing American taxpayers and what being the greatest prison nation in human history is costing America's image.

It shouldn't take a fake ass repoublican to address these issues as economically and image detrimental to American society and it's people.

Why doesn't Obama take the baton?
