Palin E-Mail Hacker Sentenced to 1 Year

Well of course they do!

I was at the dentist the other day and Faux was on the waiting-room TV, and the "news people" </sarcasm> were using phrases like "Obamanation", "socialism", and all the buzz words so beloved by a certain segment of righties.

Do you remember years ago when Faux was breaking "news" </sarcasm> that there were trailer trucks in Iraq that were mobile weapons labs? And then those trucks turned out to be producing hydrogen to fill artillery balloons.

Faux-Pravda, ever ready to put another one over on the American people. And some people still give them credibility.

I guess you see what you wish to see, if I had put Nancy Pelosi's name instead of Palin, people would be screaming "Death Penalty"

I just know what using someone's computer without permission is against the laws or it use to be or should be.

Try it and see what response you get!!

Freedom wishes he had hair on his balls and not on his tongue! You know he shaves it twice a day and it still doesn't help!

I heard it on the radio first and knew people would need a reference and yes, I find Huffington much more enlightening than Fox, I know you love the Fox...and that baffles me because you SEEM intelligent enough! and we know how not bright their readers are!
An AP article is an AP article regardless of which site you get it from. I read huffpo too, but I would never say they were the equivalent to the Associated Press.

Well, I still say you are feeling the Rana sting and you didn't like it, so you are mad at Rana! and needed her to be punished so you talk to stupid! Oh, I feel the burn! ahahahahaha, not!

Just because you chewed off your better half's, doesn't mean it happened to everyone else.

But then, you always were a tea baggee.

I don't know if private industry works different than government but at my old company the company had access to everything in your computer at ant time. Just the way it was.
It is the same regardless. Files stored on an employer's computer belong to the employer. And yes, in owning the machine they own the work stored on it - after all, they paid the person for the time they spend creating those files. Ownership also gives access at any time.

Only difference is email. Since email files are stored on a server regardless of the recipient including paid email services, they are treated differently. For a private company, the files still belong to the individual even though the server belongs to the company, and therefore there IS an expectation of privacy. (Otherwise gmail users would have their email owned and accessible to Google.)

But with public entities, since the email server is publicly owned, then so are the files contained on it, and there is no expectation of privacy. It falls under the theory that if Joe Taxpayer pays for it, they own access to it through the Freedom of Information act and all that. It may suck for government employees, but then I see the availability of those files as an advantage to the people - political officials can't hide their files from us under privacy claims. And that is how it should be. They can do their private stuff on their own time, and own equipment. (Which most of them do. Sadly they also do a lot of their public work hidden on personal equipment and personal client accounts with private companies.)
