Palin E-Mail Hacker Sentenced to 1 Year

Did you read the article? It was not about her being accused of hacking, but that she used her city e-mail account to conduct campaign-related business. The first allegation appears to be quite misleading as well. If she and a technician are asked to look on a company computer by an Assistant Attorney General how is that hacking?

Never...I mean NEVER expect rana to be intellectually honest! The truth is she likely did not even realize what she was trying to say...this chick trips over stupid on her way to take a crap :palm:

Rana needs to get off her huffpo and get her facts straight!

The next week, when Palin went back to work at the AOGCC, she noticed that Ruedrich had removed his pictures from the walls and the personal effects from his desk. But as she and an AOGCC technician worked their way around his computer password at the behest of an assistant attorney general in Fairbanks, they found his cleanup had not extended to his electronic files.
The technician “said it looked like he tried to delete this, but she knew a way to go around and get some of the deleted stuff,” Palin said in an interview. “I didn’t know what I was looking for, but I was there.”
She reads huffpo but refuses to read an AP article from the Fox site?

Facts are facts no matter where they come from. Using editorial sources are fine if the opinions are themselves grounded in facts easilly found by the reader and the article is clearly defined as opinion...you should however also be able to argue that opinion in your own words.

I guess you see what you wish to see, if I had put Nancy Pelosi's name instead of Palin, people would be screaming "Death Penalty"

I just know what using someone's computer without permission is against the laws or it use to be or should be.
The problem with your diatribe is the computer did not belong to the individual - it belonged to AO&GCC. Like it or not, there is no expectation of privacy when using your employer's computer. The files therein legally belong to the company, not to the individual. As such, Palin, as an employee of AO&GCC, had full legal authority to access the AO&GCC computer, even if the prior employee had not left. That it was at the request of the AG just ices the cake.

Also, there is no legal expectation to privacy if using an email system which belongs to a tax supported organization. Those files are considered public property because the email system itself is paid for with tax (public) money. While the average Joe cannot go into City Hall and demand to see all the email from the last month, (though you CAN do so in school districts, believe it or not) the law provides that no warrant is needed for access, and officials in charge of the organization have authority to give access to such files without the user's permission.

OTOH, email accounts belonging to an individual on a private email system DO have an expectation of privacy, and hacking them IS illegal, publishing the content of a private account without permission is illegal, etc.

That was an interesting article but even more interesting was the fact that she quit the commission because she got "frustrated". So quitting as governor wasn't the only time she bailed when the going got tough.

And this woman "didn't blink" when asked to be veep?

God help us all if she's ever elected president.
Amen!

I heard it on the radio first and knew people would need a reference and yes, I find Huffington much more enlightening than Fox, I know you love the Fox...and that baffles me because you SEEM intelligent enough! and we know how not bright their readers are!

I don't know if private industry works different than government but at my old company the company had access to everything in your computer at ant time. Just the way it was.

Oh, his little feelings are still hurt because I wouldn't read his FOX article, I am sorry Damo, I will try next time, it is just that Fox has shown its bias! Big time! I don't see Huffy trying to cover up who they are and what they represent and I think Arianna is pretty darn bright and usually right!

Do you find it more enlightening because you agree with most of the content? I like to think I'm open minded and read different sites but I'm biased and if course like the sites that most agree with me. And an AP article is an AP article whether it comes from HuffPo or Fox News. It is the same article.

Yeah, that's it...

How can Fox show bias when it links to an AP article?

I don't know, I don't read Fox, so how would I know where it gets its stuff, why would a rational person be looking on their site in the first place?

If I write an article and it gets linked to a bunch of different sites do you think my article would change based on whose site it is?
