1) Bachman is an idiot

2) Looking at the body language of that kid, I would bet he WAS put up to it by the mom. He looked completely uncomfortable and did not look like he wanted to say anything. Had this been the kids own insight, it is not likely he would have been so uncomfortable. I could be wrong, but that looked like a set up.

I would disagree. The look Bachman gave was more of a 'you would really make your kid do that for you?' look.

Bachman's position is wrong, obviously. But the mom pushing her kid towards Bachman and saying 'don't you have something you want to say'? Come on.

The mom should have just gone off on Bachman for her stupidity rather than putting her kid up like that. It was pathetic.

I'll never really get your adoration of Bachmann. She's out of the race, anyway - you'll have to vote for Newt or someone else. Just give it up....

She shot the mother an icy look, so she did look mad. I didn't say she looked mad at the kid, that's harder to judge. Even if I agreed with you I would never take your side over Rana's, so give it up!

Oh, I don't think she was very happy. Probably thought the mom put her son up to it, but eight years old children are smarter than people give them credit for being. Children listen when we don't think that they are even paying attention.

I saw that on Yahoo and about heaved a lung laughing. The look on her face when that kid told her that his mom didn't need fixing was freaken priceless! :)

Who cares if it was a set up? Even if it was it was priceless just to see the look on Bachman's face! :)

It is beyond pathetic to USE your own child in such a manner. You want to fight a battle, fight it yourself. Don't hide behind your child. I am not shocked you would approve of such a pathetic display by a parent.

I know, that's so true. Weird for women, because we avoid the crazy eye look in men. You know, for good reason - so we don't end up being chopped and dumped at Gilgo beach. Men are weird. I guess that's what freedom from worry about your safety will do for you.
 
I feel badly for the kid, he was set up and should not have been in the position of defending his mother. Looks to me like Bachman achually saw what I would consider abuse being done to the child.

I agree with what the kid said, it did not need to be done in that way.
