Can Nikki Haley win primaries in the southern states? After the stance she took on the flag issue, I don't think she has a chance.
 
My primary care physician is a Pakistani, as is her husband who is my cardiologist.
I assume they're both Muslim in heritage,
as they'd probably be Indians if they were Hindu,

but since they're both extremely intelligent,
I would also assume that they're both atheists in the practical sense.

They have two kids in expensive private universities, and a third in a prestigious prep school.
He drives a massive Range Rover and she drives an S Class Mercedes.
I don't think that my doc would give that up for a burqa.

They're Democrats, by the way, as are their voting age kids.
I wouldn't go to a Republican doctor, obviously.

I don't know whether or not they're "people of color," but they're darker than I am, and I'm 100% Sicilian.

To even suggest that I'd put Haley down because she's of Indian heritage is absurd.
She is a Republican, however,
so not to put her down would be a serious character flaw on my part.

It would be an interesting conversation indeed.

I just get the feeling that if it isn’t the woman they want the media will paint her with the same brush as they have conservative women of the past ... in my memory starting with Margaret Thatcher.

From the quote in the OP she clearly see's herself as a leader and leaders come in all shape, sizes and colors. Notice I said nothing about her gender or ethnicity in the OP? Leadership is leadership.

No question LR. You remember Darla from the past. She was at least honest in saying she only wanted a liberal woman women as president not a conservative one.

Thatcher left a trail of things to justifiably complain about. Just because the conservative you're arguing with is a woman shouldn't make any difference as long as you're arguing policy.

Haley seems to be the most moderate candidate that republicans have to offer .. so if you're looking for knives at her back, you might want to look to the right.
