Our Next President Nikki Haley

Bolton is another.
Thank great Buddha Trump is actively aware that intervention brings surprises and bad results .
As usual Trump has good instincst on what to do/ not do, just like his de-regulations and tax cuts for the economy.

Halley shows no such instincts...other then that she is knowlegable, but that is a BIG IF

Yeah, Bolton came immediately to mind as I was responding

"Bill called himself the first black president when he wasn't black..." PP #65
You're welcome to quote him making that assertion.
I don't recall such assertion from him directly.

But I'm fully aware he's been called that by others, though I can't quote them at the moment.

Nikki Haley

I don't doubt Ambassador Haley's political ambition. She may opt to run as soon as 2020.

Let's wish her well.

Nikki has already suffered ethnic discrimination.

According to liberal Holy Writ (AKA the failing New York Times)...

When she was about 5, Ms. Haley and her sister entered a “Little Miss Bamberg” pageant, where, traditionally, a black queen and a white queen were crowned. The judges decided the sisters fit neither category, so they disqualified them.

"Failing" NYT? trump's the best thing that could have happened to it.

They think anybody who thinks differently than they do loves them some Trump. Nothing could be further from the truth, but hey.. it's what they want to believe.

Nordberg just proved your point with his groan. He doesn't think it possible that anyone on the right doesn't support Trump probably because he couldn't imagine himself ever not supporting a Democrat.

Liberals will do everything their power to keep that from happening. Everything.

Would be interesting to hear Rana, Owl and Christiefan's opinion. Would you rather see a Democratic male as President or a Republican woman such as Condi Rice or Nikki Haley?

The premise of course being how important is it to have a woman President. Is it important enough that you would vote for/support one who has different political beliefs than you.

Oh, so suddenly Indian American heritage is relevant to anything?

He meant Warren and Native American, and most likely thought Haley was Native American

What is the official DNC ranking for minorities? Are Ancestors of India less than from Africa?

I said after George W. Bush I would never "fall for" another politician. I haven't so far and I won't. But I do like Nikki Haley.

And I Love love love this quote from her:

"'In our toxic political environment, I've heard some people in both parties describe their opponents as enemies or evil. In America, our political opponents are not evil. In South Sudan, where rape is routinely used as a weapon of war - that is evil. In Syria, where the dictator uses chemical weapons to murder innocent children - that is evil. In North Korea, where American student Otto Warmbier was tortured to death - that was evil.

"'In the last two years, I've seen true evil. We have some serious political differences here at home. But our opponents are not evil. They're just our opponents.'"

That's leadership and it has been sorely missing.

I wish more women would be able to run competitively in Republican primaries. The benefit to the country would be enormous, because (Sarah Palin not withstanding) on balance and on average, Republican women tend to be nominally more moderate that the mouth-breathing male contingent of the party.

The problem is Republican voters have not, do not, and will not for the foreseeable future make electing women and minorities a priority. Don't take my word for it. Look at the U.S. Congress, in which the GOP delegation is about 90 percent men, and about 95 percent white, give or take.

That right there tells you everything you need to know about the priorities of Republican voters.

There are many women who'd make excellent presidential candidates in 2020.

Every one of them is a Democrat, however.

There's a lack of good ethnic cuisine in the south.

Maybe Haley could open a nice Indian restaurant in Florence.

Clinton, Pelosi, Waters? :rofl2:

So why are you telling me that? You afraid you're seeing the next President and she's not a democrat?

Why would anyone be 'afraid?'

If you believe that after the horrors of Trump that Americans are going to rush out and elect another republican as president .. that's on you .. but that ain't scary.
