I haven't been clamoring for Obama to get all kinds of credit, or for Bush to not get credit.

But if you want to go all political, we had one President who said that getting OBL was his top priority, and one who said OBL was irrelevant. I'll let you figure out which is which, and then do the math...

Like I said before, I reserve the right to respond to the BS that's being spewed. I don't care if it's politicizing. We all saw your very 1st reaction to what happened; I'm comfortable with what I'm saying...

And I'm just as comfortable saying you are a hypocrite. I am guilty of pointing out to an elated pinhead, that if his ideological policies had been carried out, this would have never happened. The ONE entity who deserves ZERO credit here, is LIBERALISM! I can handle giving Obama due credit, I agree with bravo, it's commendable that Obama ignored the liberals and continued BUSH'S policies in the war on terror. And while I am sure this will boost Obama's standing with independent hawks, I don't believe it guarantees him re-election, and I think it would be a catastrophic political mistake to strut around with his chest poked out taking full credit for this... One thing that bugged me in his speech last night, he gave not one mention of David Petraeus, or Leon Panetta, and the efforts they put in to this.

We can either have a "come together moment" here, or we can turn this into another political football game... Giving Obama all the accolades while trying to diminish Bush, is playing political football games. Credit to Obama for following through with a plan like this, but the plan itself, was probably devised long before we even knew who Obama was. It was carried out by intricately-trained military personnel, who will be the first to tell you, it could have all gone very badly in the blink of an eye. My profound appreciation goes to those guys who made this happen, regardless of what political windfall Obama may get from it. I am intelligent enough to realize Obama didn't pull the freaking trigger or command the Seals. He did, at least, have the balls to DO SOMETHING! To that, I have to give Obama credit, it took some level of courage to give the orders.

Actually..it was one that said both.....and in context, both statements have merit......some things have propaganda value, some things have practical value, some things have tactical value.....

It's BS to call this a success of "Bush's policies" and extend it to Iraq. What a fool. You're confusing the Bush Doctrine w/ the hunt for OBL. They are very separate....

Bush "policy" was the WAR ON TERRORISM......the foundation from which all the various missions are built on.....

It's all part of the war on terror. It's all due to having troops on the ground in Afghanistan. It's all due to President Bush securing the trust of the Pakistan government enough to enable us to conduct these 'covert ops' inside their country. All of this shit has been in the works for FOUR YEARS.... that is out of Obama's OWN MOUTH! Now, correct me if I am wrong, but what other President can you credit, if this began 4 years ago?

And please don't misconstrue me here... I am GLAD Obama took action! Finally, the man acts like he has a spine and takes a chance on a BOLD move! Now if he would only do the same thing with regard to Libya and Qadaffy, the idiots in Syria and Iran, and the nutbag in North Korea!!! But that's not going to happen because Obama is incapable of doing that... he only did this because someone else set it all up for him beforehand. Now you Obamanites want to act like this was all Obama, and he is brilliant because of it. He's a brilliant opportunist and narcissist... I'll give him that!
