Oh this lie again. In 1798 a "Well regulated Militia did not mean one that was controlled by a govt bureaucracy. It meant effective or one that is in good working order.

The 2nd Amendment reads, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." How can you have a Militia of any kind when the people are not permitted to keep and bear Arms? Read the entire sentence. Being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The first thing the British did was take away the guns of nearly all the "Colonists." This was to oppress them. This is the only reason that any Govt ever has to take guns away from Law Abiding citizens.

Read it. Being necessary to the security of a free state... This is where the founders recognized that the people need guns not to hunt, or to defend their homes from robbers but from the state itself. The people need to have the right to keep and bear arms to defend themselves from a Tyrannical Govt.

We will not give up our guns, if you think you can I suggest you come and take it. I'll give it to you bayonet first.

maybe the reason you dont hear about people getting robbed is because some people are armed everytime they go out and youre just to stupid to know it
