My formal political view is that we should abolish the death penalty. From a purely practical perspective, it's a gigantic waste of money to manage capital punishment.

That said, the barbaric, inhuman acts perpetrated on victims by their scum always grates on my emotions, and I take pleasure when I hear that these animals have suffered for their crimes.

Yet when psychopathic monsters masquerading as freedom fighters blew up defenceless pregnant women and children at Omagh, what did the dastardly British do? Fuck all basically, in the US they would have been executed without any compunction.

I was a Christian for 40 years. It is in the years after that I have learned more about the faith then while I was educated in it and embraced it for a short time as an adult.

Whatever word you chose to use, it still means the laws given to Moses and the tribes of Israel no longer are followed by Christians, is what some, most Christians believe.

I have no idea what you are trying to say, but my perspective on the Bible is that Christians have their own interpretation of the scriptures and they are right and everyone else is wrong. It is very confusing. There are those Christians that say the Laws of Moses still appies and there are those, like you and several on here, who say Jesus fulfilled the law and it no longer applies.

When one is seeking the truth who do you believe? Which Christin speaks the truth? The New Testament states that Jesus fulfilled the law but that it should not pass away until heaven and earth passes away. How does one figure out exactly what YHWH wants?

There is a lot of good in Christianity, but as a religion, it should be much less rigid with regard to scripture.

People need to really think about who did the original translations, and the repeated translations through the centuries during a time when only those in the church controlled the message. How did these people behave, in general? Are their actions those of people who can be faithfully trusted to hand down a message without any agenda?
