My parents were the same way and my kids had a long list of chores to earn spending coin.
I dried dishes for $.25 a week when I was a kid. I hated it but did it. That's why I took the paper route, to get out of drying dishes!

My brother was 7 years older so when he left for college I was the one left to cut the grass, trim the bushes, shovel snow, take out the trash, and any other manly duty for a whopping 25 cents/ week.
On the weekends I'd go with my grandfather and help him at his cabin, running a roto-tiller, weeding, cutting grass, moving dirt around, building repairs. He taught me how to sweat a copper pipe and how to level a floor over a crawl space, a lesson that I use in my career. I also learned how to run a chain saw and drop a tree. I split a lot of wood. He paid me well, and I typically made $5/ day. He also taught me how to drink scotch.
Once I got my driver's license I got a job driving a pickup truck and moving furniture, mostly apartments in and around Boston. Carried a few couches up flights of stairs in old brownstone buildings. Huge difference between a suburban house with 8 ceilings and an old brownstone with 12 or 15 feet between floors. Made 1/3 of the $25/ hour that we collected. 1/3 went to my helper and the last 1/3 went to his mom who ran the adds and paid for the truck, insurance and gas. That was high cotton back then.
AARP executive responds to Millennial 'OK Boomer' viral insult with her own snarky put-down
Senior vice president and editorial director of AARP Media Myrna Smyth was asked to respond to the "OK Boomer" meme that had gained popularity as an insult to the older generation the organization represents.
"OK, millennials. But we're the people that actually have the money," she mocked during the Axios interview.

And as I said, I don't blame you personally for the shit your generation has done.
But what I -and most people not in your generation- would like is acknowledgement that the Boomers aren't all they're cracked up to be, and actually caused far more damage than anything they did to improve people's lives.

An FE type 427 is period correct, but an aluminum tall block Windsor 427 would be my preference. Or even a standard deck height 363. Those FEs are heavy by modern standards.
Still, you've got a great car, no question. I just prefer my electric windows to your side curtains!
