Yeah, you know, we wanted to do things like transform the economy into a green one, but y'all insisted on oil and coal companies. We wanted to give everyone health care, but y'all insisted on private insurance companies. We wanted to not die in pointless wars, but y'all insisted we do. And we wanted to have an economy that works for us, but y'all insisted on "greed is good", "I got mine so fuck you", and "he who dies with the most toys wins"...
So yeah, we haven't been able to accomplish much as Gen Xers because of Boomers standing in the way.
Y'all crashed the economy 3 times in 30 years, and you have the nerve to ask us what we've contributed?

You (plural) destroyed the environment, destroyed public trust in institutions of government, destroyed the news media with the canonization of profits over truth, and very nearly completely destroyed the economy three times in 30 years, costing trillions in bailouts.
So, I don't know what accommodation or thanks you think you're owed. You didn't win WWII (your parents did), you didn't survive the Great Depression (your parents did), you didn't put a man on the moon (your parents did -with the help of Nazis), you didn't give us Civil Rights (your parents did), and you didn't end the Vietnam war. In fact, most of you voted for Richard Nixon in 1968 and 1972, who escalated the Vietnam War. You gave us 24hr cable news, "greed is good", Ronald fucking Reagan, Movement Conservatism, Evangelical Christianity and the Moral Majority, the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression, two Presidents who didn't win the popular vote, a Drug War we lost, and two wars of occupation that we are still fighting, 18 years later.
So...thanks for following the law and paying taxes so your parents could have Medicare and Social Security, both of which they created and passed without your help.
