Oh, well that news article is just full of big surprises....

Big surprise the police chief publicly called it a tragedy. Because, what else would he say?

Big surprise the family would deny she even attempted to shoplift and make accusations of unnecessary force. Setting up for the lawsuit lottery grab and all.

Big surprise they'd claim the cops had no right to arrest her even when all they did was ask her to get out of her car, which they did have the right to do.

Big surprise the use of force policy regarding approaching vehicles says officers should get out of the way, but when the vehicle is already almost on top of him, considering there's not much else he can do, I think that might fall under the heading of "extenuating circumstances".

Intelligent, rational and educated people understand the difference between her non-compliance and the police officer's tactical error which resulted in her death.

If the officer had taken a defensive position on the right side of the car and slightly behind where he could both see her hands and cover his partner, would he have be right to shoot her had she tried to run?

Well, my hope for you was fleeting and then vanished as soon as you doubled down on the stupid and starting yapping shit about that which you haven't a clue.

And what if she had pulled out a gun? The cop on the right side would have had to shoot across the car towards the left side where his partner was standing, possibility hitting him with a stray bullet.

You can't really be that thick headed.... can you????

Again... by standing in front of the car, he was in a better position to keep her from possibly stomping on the gas pedal, speeding through the parking lot and maybe running over an innocent bystander. Something which, as the links I provided in an earlier post prove, happens fairly often in cases where shoplifters try to avoid arrest.

But then of course, you don't really give a shit about such a possibility happening.

Your main interest in this case is crapping on the cops, trying to come across like you're smarter than they are and pretending you are sensitive to the victimhood of black Americans, who you probably avoid like the plague in real life.

If she were shot during the chase, it would have been justified.



She was, once she put it it gear and gassed it the chase started

It's called a get-a-way, you nitwit. It's not like she turned the car around and tried to run down the cop. Happens a lot in law enforcement .... hell, you have a slew of real life TV shows a'la' "Cops" over the years where similar situations happen WITH A CAUCASAIN PERP, and a chase ensues, but the perp is rarely shot to death by the cops.
