That figure of 3 million is the number of Vietnamese killed in the war not afterwards. It is undeniable that people died after but it was nothing like the 2 million that died at the hands of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. It is ironic that they came to power as a result of Kissinger's bombing of Cambodia and it took the Vietnamese to remove them whilst the world sat on its hands.
