Republicans say they’re the party of tax cuts. Tell them to prove it. Tell them to fight as hard for tax cuts for working Americans as they do for the wealthiest Americans. Tell them it’s time to pass this jobs bill.

Of course, the Republicans in Congress call this class warfare. Well you know what? If asking a billionaire to pay the same tax rate as a plumber or teacher makes me a warrior for the working class, I'll wear that charge as a badge of honor. Because the only class warfare I've seen is the battle that's been waged against the middle class in this country for a decade.

You've been repeatedly told Republicans are not going to vote for ANY tax increase... so if the "jobs bill" is so urgently important and vital.... why would you include tax increases you readily admit and know the Republicans can't pass? It really sounds to me like, you didn't want the bill to pass... so you can campaign on the idea that Republicans voted against jobs, when they actually voted against a tax increase, like they said they would.

Taxes are NOT going to be increased. Get the idea out of your head, because it's not happening. You can bluster and bitch about it, you can continue to lambaste the rich and wealthy, you can continue the war on big business, but you're not getting a tax increase. It doesn't matter how many Great and Wonderful bills you try to attach it to, they will systematically be defeated.

I hate to be cynical but house Republicans must be idiots. This jobs bill was a win/win situation for Obama politically. If passed, he can show his constituency that he has done something about growing jobs. If killed carte-blanche he can then paint congress, which is far more unpopular then he is, as obstructionist to helping people, particularly house Republicans. This was a neat little trap and I can't believe that house Republicans could be so ideologically blind as to fall for it. This will be pounded up their asses come the campaign season and will come back to haunt them. They should have aimed for compromise to water this bill down till it was tepid. I just can't believe that Republicans could be this stupid and it smell like tea to me.

He's killing terrorists. What's really funny is we can't put water up a terrorist's nose any more, but we can vaporize them without a trial. Does that seem funny to you? I think it's hilarious.
