Americans trying to spin it both ways but the end result if the US actually lets it happen is the same to the rest of the world. Warmongering pigs aside.

Obama can claim credit with people in his own country and he'll obviously get away with it. He's going to scoop this thing bigtime and that's scary because it gives the rightwing the impetus to scuttle it.

With the rest of the world the US spinning will go largely unnoticed and Putin will get the credit he deserves.

Kerry trying to back away from his remarks did it in spades. So stupid after he put his foot in his mouth and offered words that could lead to peace when that wasn't his objective at all.
