Obamacare Lite is out!

Well he lies a lot so it doesn't really matter

Irony coming from a prolific lying FAKE counselor who was all-in for a sociopathic lying candidate and Obama who lied almost daily.

I have to laugh at leftist Fascists who now whine and lie about "presumed" lies.

The GOPigs are telling one lie after another about their deathcare bill.

Americans should be ashamed of themselves for falling for these crooks.

You're lying right here and right now dumbfuck. Buy a fucking mirror already. Dunce.

Without a republican designed mandate in Obamacare the only people who will buy insurance will be those who are sick ...
Premiums will skyrocket 10X what it did last year.

I think that single payer is inevitable as this Bill Moyer article argues very convincely. You have now ended up with the most bizarre health-insurance system imaginable: One ever better designed to avoid sick people.

Single payer is hardly inevitable; we haven't ended up with anything. What we have now is a costly abomination built on a lie and a straight party vote excluding any dissent.

What we will get is something that is not a government mandate, places healthcare decisions back where it belongs, in the hands of the people who need it.

The dumbest plan on the planet is one where willful gullible sheep hand over their health care decisions to faceless professional bureaucrats whose main cost control mechanism is limiting healthcare choices and access.

If you have a job, your'e a chump. If you pay your own way, you're a chump.

That is the mentality that has been growing and growing in America for the last 50 years. Nowadays, it's all about getting over on everyone else, and having them pay your way.

Fun watching the Republican party fall apart over this, will they pull it together?

How will Rump handle legislative defeat?

The goofy T-Party doesn't even want tax credits..
Obamacare is in a death spiral, Trying something sane pisses everyone off

I also think that if you consider yourself a conservative or even a republican then you can't really support Obamacare lite. You either believe that the federal government should be involved in healthcare or you don't. Just because Trump creates it does not make it ok in my opinion. The Republican Party has control of all branches of government and voted to repeal Obamacare when Obama was still president. There's really no excuse for that same repeal vote to not be embraced now that it can actually pass. The problem is that there are people in congress that call themselves small government constitutional conservatives in public but behind closed doors are anything but.

No.
The problem is that millions will lose coverage and hundreds of thousands will die while a new replacement bill is written and debated and for what?
Some misunderstood "conservative" principle?
What would your Lord Jesus do?

I actually agree with you that single payer is inevitable but only if our federal government continues to obtain more and more unchecked power and if Americans continue entrusting government to guide their lives and define their liberties.

What would your Lord Jesus do?

Prior to Obamacare passing were those same people who didn't have coverage dying by the thousands the day before it passed? I don't know what Jesus would do about universal healthcare and I don't want to speak for Him, but I know that you don't need government funded healthcare to believe that He is with you even on your hardest days.

When will you take your vow of poverty and dedicate your life to helping the poor, Mother Theresa? ... otherwise, you're just playing Nazi authoritarain demanding thet everyone else give more as you languish in your white liberal gated community sipping lattes. Liberal hypocrisy knows no bounds.

you do realize Medicade is gov't funded healthcare..?

Oh I know. It's one of the many reasons I didn't vote for him. He is a populist, not a constitutional conservative or even a small government republican in my opinion.

He is a New York City Liberal who ran GOP to get the stupid vote.

Kudos to you. You almost get it.

Thousands of businesses and citizens were harmed by Obamacare's implementation and there would also be people harmed by it going away, but doing the right thing now, which is repealing obamamacre and shrinking the size of government and its power, will ensure that we have a better future in my opinion. It's like when you hurt yourself. You can either live with the pain and get used to it or you can go through an uncomfortable surgery so that you can be healthy again and healthier in the long run. Repealing it, letting insurance companies compete across state lines, and getting rid of entitlements and subsidies is better for our country's long term health in my personal opinion.

Then you are a complete and utter hypocrite.

Read your own signature line.

The same could happen by not repealing Obamacare though. It's why they should follow their principles and answer to their constituents that elected them for those principles and not to a president or a party in my opinion. I'd happily choose to lose an election if it meant following my principles.

That makes you a zealot.

you guys need to do some research.. it's a "3 part bill" -there will be shopping across state lines,
and drug price negotiations.
I'm not all up on it yet. But the fact it pisses off the extreme right and extreme left makes me think it has value. :)
I'm going to find out more before I start running off opinions

The republicans passed a repeal of Obamacare in both the house and the senate when Obama was still president. Now that they also have then executive branch under their control why aren't they pushing that repeal again? Why just alter a universal healthcare system to be a little less obama-ish?

Because they are disingenuous posers.

They passed it when they knew it wouldn't be signed by Obama, for show.

Now they have to worry about being re-elected.
