Obama one of the Greats!

It's your OPINION that he abused and acted recklessly with that authority. That's not the issue. The issue is who is responsible and the fact is congress and the President made the decision. Grow up.

Oh, that's such a bummer! You had it right just a few posts ago. What happened?

Bush did not make the decision to invade Iraq WITH Congress. He made the actual decision to invade on his own. That is historical fact.

Again - sorry about that.

Go play your loser word games with some naive college kid.

And Democrats were saying the same thing during the Clinton administration. The attack on 9/11 changed our policy on terrorism from containment to agressive. Get informed.

And the Dems didn't resolve to invade, they pushed for sanctions. The attack on 9/11 had nothing to do with Iraq but obviously you drank the Kool-aid.

You really aren't very wise.

It's not a loser word game. There is a vast difference between saying Bush made the decision to invade, and saying that Bush AND Congress made the decision to invade.

You have said both, and only one of those is correct. Bush made the decision. Congress didn't.

That is how our constitution works. Congress gives the President authority to go to war. Congress is responsible for their vote. Study up and grow up. Time to be a responsible adult.

The Dems voted for invasion. Keep trying.

The Dems only voted to give Bush the authority to use force if HE chose to do so.

There was no vote to invade. Bush and Bush alone made that decision. You're playing word games, not me.

It's pathetic. All of you apologists are. If you had told me in 2003 that you'd all be rushing to give Congress "credit" for the invasion, I seriously wouldn't have believed it.

Congress and Bush are responsible for the invasion. Carry on.

Saddam was a supporter and funder of terrorism. There doesn't need to be an "al queda link". Kinda sad when people who claim to be patriotic Americans will play word games over protecting a muderous dictator. You should be ashamed of yourself, but I know people like you and the other lefty liars around here have no concept of integrity and accountability.

The world is full of murderous dictators who bush never gave a shit about. The U.S. didn't invade Iraq in order to depose a dictator. If that was the purpose, Bush41 would have done it in the first war. In fact, he supported keeping Saddam in power.

"...But then George H. W. Bush blew the whistle. Things had got out of hand. What Bush had wanted was not a messy popular uprising but a neat military coup -- another strongman more amenable to Western interests. The White House feared that turmoil would give the Iranians increased influence, upset the Turks, wreak havoc throughout the region. But the Bush administration didn't just turn its back; it actually aided Saddam to suppress the Intifada..."

Why do you think Bush gave a shit about Saddam when there are so many muderous dictators in the world? You're gonna have to step it up a notch. I'm not here to help the helpless.

Bush said he was the decider. There is nothing in the resolution mandating force, specifying invasion, setting parameters for invasion, etc. There is nothing at all in the resolution making a) force inevitable, or b) making invasion inevitable.

Someone had to actually make a decision to a) use force, and b) invade Iraq. Who is the person who actually made that decision?

LOL
