Obama one of the Greats!

I suppose you can cite some evidence that these Dems were told an actual invasion was on the calendar.

The invasion happened. Show us the words of Democrats protesting it and claiming they didn't vote for an invasion. When you have to play mind games, then you've lost the debate.

I love how the republicans LIE to people and then BLAME the people they lied to for the evil they USED the lies to create.

Your spin is that Congress passed the resolution and then said to Bush, now you decide what you want to do...

Well, airhead, it didn't happen that way.....Bush asked Congress to decide and thats what they did.....not visa versa ....

Without the vote in Congress there would be no Iraq war....thats obvious to everyone but you....Congress made the final decision, the decision that determined
what followed.....a no vote, no war...its that simple.

Thats history. Thats here on the net for anyone to look up....thats the chronology of events.....and no amount of lefty spin will change that chronology....

And parallel to that chronology is all the evidence that there was no reason to invade because no threat to the U.S. was looming.

Saddam was removed because he was a threat to peace and had been supporting terrorism in the ME. You obviously do not understand that Saddam was paying families of suicide bombers.

Yes, and congress voted to give Bush the authority to make that decision. You don't give someone authority to do something and then say you didn't mean to do it. You're full of shit and you're stupid.

Finally! You admitted that Bush made the decision to invade.

That certainly took awhile. Especially for something that is an obvious historical fact.

Of course he made the decision and I never denied that. YOU are the one claiming Bush is solely responsible for the invasion. Congress and the President worked together on it, and that's what you don't want to admit because of your partisan agenda. You're a born Democrat. You don't want to be held responsible for your vote.

They "worked together" on it? What kind of accountability dodge is that?

Bush made the decision to invade. Bush alone MADE THE DECISION.

There is no way around that. Sorry. And sorry that Iraq was such a disaster that you feel the need to absolve Bush of that somehow.

When you lie, you force me to respond

<snip>

No resolution, no war....

You're forgetting something: "Whereas Iraq both poses a continuing threat to the national security of the United States..." and

"Whereas Iraq's demonstrated capability and willingness to use weapons of mass destruction, the risk that the current Iraqi regime will either employ those weapons to launch a surprise attack against the United States or its Armed Forces or provide them to international terrorists who would do so, and the extreme magnitude of harm that would result to the United States and its citizens from such an attack, combine to justify action by the United States to defend itself;..."

The biggest lies of all that bush counted on to get support for his debacle.

Believe me, I know every detail. That is not the reason bush gave for the invasion. He sold it to gullible Americans that Iraq was a threat and that we were in danger of being attacked by WMD.

“There’s no question that Iraq was a threat to the people of the United States.”
• White House spokeswoman Claire Buchan, 8/26/03

“We ended the threat from Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction.”
• President Bush, 7/17/03

Iraq was “the most dangerous threat of our time.”
• White House spokesman Scott McClellan, 7/17/03

“Saddam Hussein is no longer a threat to the United States because we removed him, but he was a threat…He was a threat. He’s not a threat now.”
• President Bush, 7/2/03

“Absolutely.”
• White House spokesman Ari Fleischer answering whether Iraq was an “imminent threat,” 5/7/03

“We gave our word that the threat from Iraq would be ended.”
• President Bush 4/24/03

“The threat posed by Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction will be removed.”
• Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, 3/25/03

Yes, Bush made the decision. He would not have invaded without the permission of congress. Now you have to admit that.

And Democrats were saying the same thing during the Clinton administration. The attack on 9/11 changed our policy on terrorism from containment to agressive. Get informed.

Why did 70% of Americans think sadam did 911 at the time?

bush tried to link the two in the war resolution. What a pos he was, it makes me angry all over again thinking about his lies.

"Whereas the attacks on the United States of September 11, 2001, underscored the gravity of the threat posed by the acquisition of weapons of mass destruction by international terrorist organizations;"

Saddam was a supporter and funder of terrorism. There doesn't need to be an "al queda link". Kinda sad when people who claim to be patriotic Americans will play word games over protecting a muderous dictator. You should be ashamed of yourself, but I know people like you and the other lefty liars around here have no concept of integrity and accountability.

You're believing leftist propaganda. You want everyone to believe that Bush is such a good liar that he got the Democrats in congress to give him permission to invade Iraq. If you're right, then the dumb Democrats have failed their constituents. Blaming Bush for invading Iraq all by himself is idiotic. Disagreeing with his decision is one thing, but blaming Bush for lying and forcing everyone to do his will is idiotic.

Yeah, right. All but one repub senator voted for the resolution. All but six repub congressmen voted for the resolution. Talk about sheep being led to the slaughter.

See the bolded there, bravo & USFreedom? What a weird argument. I have never even heard anyone try to deny that Bush made the decision.

And I've said over & over again that Congress gave him that authority, which he abused and acted recklessly with...

So what? You disagree with the vote. Tell us how many Democrats voted for it. You won't because you're dishonest and have no integrity.

It's your OPINION that he abused and acted recklessly with that authority. That's not the issue. The issue is who is responsible and the fact is congress and the President made the decision. Grow up.
