Obama is great...

He extended the Patriot Act, which he said he would not do. He has done nothing to cut back on the power usurped by Bush all in the name of "fightin' evil doers". He is new boss same as the old boss. The Health Care deal was a boon for private insurance and has been used to INCREASE the number of federal agents that are going to make sure we all buy our insurance like good little paeans. He is no where near the president that Clinton was. This flip flopping back and forth between save our souls righties and tax the rich lefties will ALWAYS be won by the right. Americans dream of being rich. No one goes to college with aspirations of just getting by and building a giant debt load. People want to be well off. Ask americans if they want to make 200k a year and my bet is only a small minority will say oh no, I just want to make the world a better place. Most want to get paid. That is not wrong and this constant attack on people that make 200k or more is a bad strategy for maintaining political power, which should not be anyone's goal anyway. I am more and more becoming a fan of term limits.

About friggin time.

Term limits and some type of flat/ fair tax is a gawddam necessity for this country. Incumbents have way too much of an advantage over a challenger, and they use the tax code to curry favors to sure donations to their next campaign. These two issues, if enacted, would go very, very far in securing this democracy. I'd like to see a Constitutional Amendment for this.

1) The war/nationbuilding effort in Iraq.

Sorry, that's not a Big Government or Big Spending program. In fact, the war in Iraq, plus the war in Afghanistan... PLUS the Vietnam War, Korean War, WWII, and WWI, combined... didn't equal the projected cost of Nationalized Health Care.
