I'm sure he'll get on a podium and call all republicans something evil again soon and you all will feel better.

If he has indeed lost credibility with the left then he has most likely gained credibility with a substantial percentage of the other 80% of the country. Sounds like a political win for him to me.

Are you kidding, the only way he could do that is change colors! It is what stops a lot of Republican folk from liking him, although, he has sold his soul to them!

Nope, the only thing that will make me feel better is when he gets us out of Iraq and Afghanistan! Words can only get you so far with true progressives, we like action. The Republicans fall for the same lines over and over again, that is why words have meaning to them, progressives want change, real change!

Wait a minute please. Are you saying that the majority of folks like me who didn't vote for President Obama didn't vote for him because he is black....or a tan man as my little boy says? If so I would have to disagree. I would say maybe (and this is higher than I really think it is) 15% might fall into that category.

Nope, I am saying there is a large majority in the Republican party that no matter what he does they will dislike him because he is black! HE could give them everything they want, and they still won't care for him because of the color of his skin! 15% that will admit it, the others are closet racists!

No, (i think) she meant like change color by becoming more conservative or a 'republican' as some on the left have started calling him.

Well, I suppose that we differ on our outlook of humanity. I just can't fathom that many not voting for him because he is black. We have tons of folks around here that voted for JC Watts over a white man. I still contend that most folks look at the content and not at the pigmentation. I could be wrong.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!And when you can't come up with a credible argument that addresses the real reason(s) he's lost his credibility, you throw out the proverbial race card spiel that it must be because he's black and "they" never were going to like him anyways!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!A sure sign you've lost your own credibility!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Almost all progressives who complained about the wars are now silent on that subject. I remember when zillions would gather to protest the same, even to the last moment of Bush's Presidency. Now... They can barely gather enough pink shirts to hold 5 signs.

Well I guess I was wrong she was playing the race card. That's disappointing. What she is describing is partisanship. Yes there are a certain percentage of Republican's that will dislike Obama because he is a Democrat. The same works in return. Playing the race card is weak.

And their deafening silence is a real indication that it wasn't about the war. It was about the party in office.

Every once in a while you hear the lone anemic mouse squeaking in the corner: "Bring Home The Troops", while they give The Obama the proverbial pass on almost every hair-brained idea he has shoved down American's throats.

They can't even muster up 1/10th of the ire they generated over Bush's drinking and cocaine days 20 plus years prior to taking office.

Their audacity and hypocrisy isn't astounding, it's just plain expected!

And a large majority in the Republican Party are racist? Wow. Yes these same partisan racist republicans just loved bill Clinton because he was white.

Yeah, ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist in the party! I hear it all the time in discussions with people, so bury your head! It helps it go away! You can pretend it doesn't exist and we don't have a problem in this country with racism, still!

People like Tim Scott tell a different story. The color isn't what matters, it's the policy. There is no "racism" in being against the Health Care Malformation produced by congress recently. There is no "racism" involved, nor was it involved when they opposed Clinton.

For supposedly "open-minded" liberals, the only reason to ever disagree with a black man is because of his skin color?

If such is the case I have only one question for you. What are you going to do when the R party continues to elect black and/or hispanic leadership? Do you accept your racism because you will disagree with them or is it okay to disagree with a black person because of their views?

No one said racism doesn't exist in the party. We said your party line of....

I am saying there is a large majority in the Republican party that no matter what he does they will dislike him because he is black

IS BULLSHIT. It is nothing more than race baiting. It is pathetic. Period.
